He's a sucesfull trainer, and considering the number of boxers on his card, he's a very dedicated trainer, a lot of boxers you's the trainer as a scapegoat, when they probably diden't do their part correctly.

I dont even like Gallaher that much but these threads blaming Arnie, Gallagher etc etc after their fighters have a couple of bad performances is really starting to grate me

Two ways of looking at Gallagher's fighters I suppose. He may be coaching the ability out of them by enforcing a ear-muffs on, plough forward come-what-may style or for all we know he could be getting the best out of otherwise limited fighters (with respect).

With Murray, Paul Smith and Macklin I don't see a plan B or any imagination, they are relying on overwhelming opponents and grinding them down which will only get you so far. Then you've got Anthony Crolla who has come on leaps and bounds since he fought Gary Sykes and has boxed beautifully at times. I would like to think that Joe has weighed up the attributes of his fighters and helped them to develop a style that he thinks will take them furthest based on their ability rather than assuming he is a one trick pony.

I'd like to see a stylist work with Joe then we'll see how good he is as a coach. Coaches should be like teachers in that they have to adapt to the people they work with. Great coaches know how to teach individuals, motivate them and get the best out of them. Easier said then done but i coach and know every person i work with learns differently and has different qualities.

it is a shame i thought it was really working well between you two, all the best down in london though mate, hope it goes well and you get a few title shots soon enough, i definitely think youve got the beating of theophane and hopefully be looking at world honours in the not so distant future, with khan and probably bradley moving up and el terrible hopefully retiring soon, the division is gonna be wide open for you to clean up

Ah, so you were out 8 and a half weeks before a fight?

Thats disgraceful, no boxer should ever leave the house.
