If it was anyone in boxing history no one would be calling the end of Mayweather Pacquiao a sucker punch or cheep shot. everyone would be talking about how clever he was. They'd say that Ortiz or whoever the victim was deserved it for not protecting himself, and that he deserved it for the blantant headbutting. They also wouldn't conventaly forgot about the headbutts like they have. They also would not try to justify the headbutts either.
The critcism of Mayweather's knockout has nothing to do with boxing. the rules or sportsmanship. It has to do with a refusal to give Mayweather any crdit.
Also no one would be nitpicking about the languge used by Cortez in insturcting them resume boxing.

Dempsey didn't get heat when he knocked out Sharkey when he went to complain to the referee about his low blows and lowered his hands. Wasn't even looking and BAM, left hook and he's out.

Do you even know what the **** you are talking about? You think this is the first fight where some idiot left his guard down and got cold clocked? Nobody called those fighters the words you guys are using for Mayweather. "DEFEND YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES" Are you guys ****ing ******ed? Or just never EVER boxed before?

You must be new to boxing huh? Try sticking to checkers.... because you don't know **** about boxing history. That much is clear based on your bull**** inaccurate statement. Other fighters HAVE done that before and it was NOT considered a "sucker punch."

Nope things will not change. If fans see something that is not appropriate, he/she will criticize it. For example with Bradley, many criticize his headbutting thing.

Do other fighters, including ATG champions who have done the same thing, get dragged through the mud and get called classless and coward? Nope. It's obviously something very personal to these people to the objective viewer. Mayweather did nothing wrong in the fight, and he is being crucified.

Why is it world class trainers, referees, and other professional boxers think he did nothing wrong, but jackass forum warriors think he did? Exactly.... because of their personal bias.

Besides the fact they are talking out of their ass about how they would respond to intentional headbutts over and over.

Nah. They should and I think most of them would call it a sucker punch.

However, there wouldn't be nearly as much ripping and tearing as Mayweather has received about it.

Ali got criticized for battering and punishing Ernie Terrell! (Look it up) What Maywweather did was legal, but cheap! I'm a fan of the guy, and even I admit that! I wouldn't go as far to call it cowardly, but it wasn't classy by any means.

    Victor879 is right

if it wasnt any of the hot button fighters that are hate magnets

Floyd takes **** for the punch and if Pac or the Klits or Haye did it theyd be thrashed too

if just about any other normal fighter did it theyd be praised or if it was the other way around and floyd fouled and got KO'd by Ortiz, Ortiz would be considered Einstein

Dude, it was a sucker punch. Had it not been Mayweather, you'd be hearing how it was a fraudulent victory and endless calls for a rematch.

Yea, because Ali was so loved back then when he converted to Islam right? :patsch

The situations are comparable in the fact that neither fighter was loved by the public. All you did was back up my point about how "public opinion" of their personality influences what they (the general public) see.

Ali did not do anything wrong either in beating up Terrell. The public just did not like Ali, and frankly, wanted to see him lose. Just like Mayweather.

Let me ask you this: How would people react if Mayweather called another opponent an "Uncle Tom" and an "Ugly Gorilla" like Ali was doing with Frazier? Where is the moral police on this forum today? According to them: Ali was "all class."

If it was anyone other than Mayweather, none of his most rabid fans would be questioning that it was a cheap shot. Just like they wouldn't be making excuses here when you can clear hear the ref say "Stop punching"

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KCd8GdRzfM&t=3m25s[/ame]

    (3:25)

Nor would they have to make up reasons for why this isn't the action of a punk, or say why it isn't a pattern of being dirty.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d7i87WW-L0&t=3m13s[/ame]

    (3:13)

By the way, if Floyd is that much better than all his opponents, why does he always have to take the easy way out? Or does he needs an edge in order to beat human punching bags, old shot to **** fighters, and green unproven guys who've never fought at the A level?

Yea, practice sportsmanship with a guy who is intentionally headbutting you? Sure pal. You are a lying sack of **** if you say you would be all cool with somebody who was intentionally trying to injure you through illegal methods.

Get off your moral high horse, seriously. You would have retaliated, and probably NOT within the rules. You are so full of **** it is ridiculous.

Must suck to be a ****** huh? Seriously, you clean toilets for a living? Idiot....

Fact is, professional trainers, referees, and boxers don't have a problem with his actions. Only Internet Pacquiao dick riders like yourself do.

And yea, Dempsey got ripped so hard he got a title shot. ****ing idiot.
