FW to leave Sky according to Twitter

Just searching Boxnation on google and saw a thread on another forum talking about same subject.

One guy said a rumor is that he could go with ITV as well.....(Big Fights on one/Standard on another?)

Not my opinion just saying..

 

Primetime are obscure too but that isn't stop them making money and thats what it all comes down to.

 

Yep hearing this as well.

 

Two things:

Will it be available on Top-Up TV, BT Vision and Virgin?
Will it have online streaming and on-demand services?

If no to any of these, it's a waste of time for me and millions of others who refuse to pay for Sky's overpriced service. It also doesn't suit me if I'm constantly travelling.

 

I Think Boxnation will become a subscription channel, so us fans will probably have to shell out about a tenner a month, as none of FW fights are PPV worthy IMO.

Not got a cat in hells chance of it being on main ITV, even i it is on ITV 2 3 or 4 it is very promising as casuals will be able to tune in then, and will not miss their usual prime time shows.

 

If this is the case, say bye bye to premier sports

 

It would make sense to have a deal with ITV or Channel 5 and to use Boxnation as a subscription or PPV outlet on top of that deal. Using only an obscure channel to distribute the fights won't work. Primetime's in a bad enough position but this will be even worse unless VVarren can get terrestrial TV on board as well.

 

I'd rather stay with Premier.

It does seem a strange but I think the internet boxing promotion experts should refrain from calling it an idiotic move. Fwank has been the No. 1 promoter in Britain for quite some time, he knows what he's doing.

Eddie Hearn will definitely benefit from it though. He must be licking his lips at the news.
