Just curious where people would rank PBF in their atg list if he beats both Cotto and Williams then retires. For the sake of the argument lets say that he beats them both by comfortable ud. Pretend like the fights were something around 116-112.

If he only beats Cotto...Top15 of all time.

If he beats Cotto and Williams...Top12 of all time.

Right now I have Mayweather as #23.

Beating Cotto would help. Williams, I think I've heard of him, the guy that beat Margarito and.... uh.....
    I suppose it might help.

i still think it would leave him just outside the top ten....now do that and beat mosley then i think top ten....but a lot rests on how hatton and williams carrer look when they finish...

Honestly, if he beats both, it MIGHT move him a couple places higher. But it's not like beating Cotto and Williams will JUMP him so much higher then if he never fought them. At this point in Floyd's career, is place is more or less set.

If Cotto and Williams get beat comfortably but both go on to do big things and win more titles, PBF just may arguably edge into the top 10 of all time...around #10. Which is, needless to say, a phenomenal accomplishment.

In all probability though one or both fighters' careers will go into a tailspin and Floyd will end up closer to #15 (if he fights them).

Still, these 2 fighters is the way to go...or move to 154 and beat someone like Dzinziruk (no $ but big in terms of boxing legacy, ala Whitaker vs Vasquez).

I agree that it depends how a few guys' careers turn out, but I think its safe to say that Hatton, Cotto and Williams are phenomenal fighters. I voted 5-10 range, thinking that he would just hit #10 on my list (more than likely), but I guess its possible that he could settle 10-15 range
