he never threw bunches in punches as fast as rjj.

His single punch is like a torpedo though.

Hell no. Nor was he Calzaghe fast.
I think for his weight his speed was slightly faster than average.

Now take Roy Jones Jr, who weighted 175, or 168, and was literally faster than light weights. There is on comparison at all to Roy Jones or Sugar Ray Leonard in terms of speed and quickness.

What Mayweather had was skill. He was fast like Bernard Hopkins was fast, it's his timing, his accuracy, his technique, not his athleticism.

Plenty of people were as fast or faster than him. De La Hoya was faster in his prime than Floyd. Pacquiao was faster, and if anyone we should be comparing Pacquiao to Roy Jones and Sugar Ray Leonard.

If you want to see who was fast, look at what Roy Jones did to a fast guy like Vinnie Pazienza who had similar handspeed to Floyd. Camacho also had handspeed like Floyds.

I think a lot of people like to make Floyd out to be the fastest because they cannot explain how he beats faster fighters. He doesn't fight like Pacquiao throwing combinations and using speed, he uses angles, defense and he slows the fight down so that faster fighters look slower than him. He did it to Judah, he did it to De La Hoya, he did it to Mosley, he wasn't faster than them and he made them all afraid to punch so that they couldn't use their speed.

Mayweather throws one punch at a time. And he lands at a very high percentage. A fast fighter throws 5, 6, maybe 10 punches at a time.

Exactly. He's more like a Bernard Hopkins fast, not a Roy.

LOL. Floyd didn't even make the list. Speed wise alone, he doesn't hold a candle to these guys.

He is too fast on thinking of taking any advantageous moves to win a fight.
He showed it very well over Ortiz. :-(
