I'll take The Kid by a very close decision (and debateable). I'm not going to get into it....im at work.
I think Kessler would beat Abraham to be perfectly honest, but what I am trying to point out is that he needs to beat true contenders in the surrounding divisions, as 168 is virtually devoid of talent. p4p match ups in different divisions are almost impossible to do, to the point where I won't bother at this stage. I think it would be a very even fight to be fair, as Mosley really proved himself to me agaisnt Cotto. He looked sharp. Judah is similar to Mundine mentally, although superior technically. Judah has more power, and is better offensively then Mundine. Defensively and Handspeed I would say they are equal. Quintana and Beyer are similar, although Beyer was getting past it by the time of the Kessler bout.
Thats something we cant be sure of for sure...when it comes to was hit less...we really dont know. I do know that NO ONE can come in here and tell me that RJ was just so much better than Floyd.thats just crazy.
Margarito is superior to Andrade easily IMO. Much more effective with his pressure. Higher workrate, less sloppy on his feet. More punches in his aresenal. In regard to the Kessler issue, I believe that Kessler is truely an elite fighter. However I think he was beaten by JC, and would be beaten by a wide margin by Chad Dawson. Cotto and Kessler are extremely different fighters so it is hard to compare. Cotto is far more well rounded, however Kessler is very good at what he does. I think in terms of skill and ability they are very similar. Even in defeat against JC, Kessler proved that.
Head 2 Head, and based on ability Roy Jones JR is just so much better then Floyd Mayweather. He was better offensively, with more power, more hand speed, better at putting combinations together, more elusive with a much better ability to adapt to his opponent.
Margarito is not superior to Andrade, Andrade is actually quicker on his feet and they both have AWFUL footwork and positioning issue's. They both have sloppy punches. Margarito has a better jab and more workrate, but the chin and power goes to Andrade, and with his quicker feet he can get in on guys easier, making him more effective. Margarito is a ****ing terrible fighter, he's not even worth mentioning.
Floyd had better foot speed. Better defense. More ring smarts. NEVER makes mistakes. More controlled. More accurate.
Agreed also. Both divisions are to be fair. 168 is better then 160 though. Basing that on JC leaving though. Without him it is basically Bute, Mundine and Kessler as the real threats.
He made more mistakes though, and lost more rounds at this respective stage of his career. He has taken more rounds to dispose of lessor foes. He doesn't have better defense. Look at some stats FFS. And he isn't more accurate either, look at stats once again. If anything more unwilling to let his hands go, thats about it. He certainly doesn't have more ring smarts, as he can't adapt like Roy could.
