Froch says he took tips from Floyd style and incorporated it into his own. Shows how much you know or lack thereof.

I'm a fan of Larry Merchant. I enjoy his deadpan style and the fact that he tells it like it is, but anyone who has ever watched a Floyd fight has heard Merchant trash the guy from round one until the interviews are over.

A person shouldn't expect respect if they aren't respectful themselves. Floyd basically just did to Merchant what Merchant did to Floyd.

    ugh...

I'll never take anything Toney says seriously. Never.

Froch...he has some credibilty but not much. He's a cry baby that used Calzaghe's name to get somewhere, and he cried for a month after the Kessler loss. Not trusting much he says either.

So no you're gonna have to do better than Froch and Toney for me to change my opinion of Merchant. I like Larry, he tells it like it is, and usually in a comedic fashion.

Relax, black slicksters are doing just fine...

I am not a fan at all of L Merchants and dont like his interviews but lets not start trying to bend the truth about Saturday and previously.
Merchant didnt do anything wrong in asking Floyd the questions he asked about the punch on Ortiz and didnt put Floyd down. Mayweather knew what he did wasnt sporting and thats why he acted like a fool.
If Floyd had problems with Larry before, why was he standing with his arm around Merchant and only getting silly when asked to explain his actions?

He kept asking Floyd the same question over and over after he already gave his thoughts and reaction on the comment and interuptted Floyd when he was trying to thanks his fans

Of course Merchant deserved it. He's been doing this **** for years just like he did it with Hopkins and RJJ.

I think that he had a go at an octogenarian. A stalwart of the sport of boxing. If Larry merchant took a **** in his hand an rubbed it in mayweathers face he should say thank you. Floyd mayweather is a great fighter, much has to be said for his ability. However, he is a crass human being who has cherry picked his way through each and every division he has ever been through. If he showed a little humility, a little grace, had he not ducked a good fair few fighters in his career also, had he not slapped around his wife/girlfriends, then maybe he would go down as one of the best ever. He aswell as Ortiz should be ashamed of they're actions, as they are at the forefront of boxing and should behave as ambassadors. Mayweather got himself hit with a nice shot just before he got smashed in the face with a headbutt. He took his chance at getting a young, frustrated, power punching middleweight out of there when the chance presented itself. I would of done the same thing. But he shouldnt of chewed out an 80year old man when he was in a magnanimous mood anyways. Dickhead.
