Why do people even make a deal out of their between fight weights?

lol thats not fat! he looks healthy you act like he is bloated and looking like hatton! hatton is fat, pacman is mainly muscle.

pac looks about 150-155 he def should be fighting at 135 though.

Hatton originally only started calling himself Ricky Fatton after he appeared on an interview with Kostya Tszyu, on showtime to promote their fight, and people had ago at the weight he had put on.

Since then he has worn that tshirt with him and Bernard Manning in giant pairs of ball stranglers.

Obviously he won against Tszyu but i think it is starting to take his toll on his stamina and overall ability, just my thoughts.

If Hatton didn't eat what he liked between fights I don't think he'd have the mental strength to work hard in training. He knows when he's training he can reward himself after with doing what he likes.
People used to critise John McEnroe for only playing tennis and not training but when he did train he played worse. It's a mental thing as much as it is physical, it's part of their make up.
When people talk about great athletes and say what if they trained harder, didn't party etc how much better they could of been? but in most cases the reason they are great athletes is the reason that they party or whatever. If u take away their freedom to go wild then ur destroying part of what made them great. Obviously this is only true in some cases cause I'm sure if Mike Tyson had trained hard his whole career and just stayed indoors reading the rest of the time it would of been beneficial to him.

If you've seen Hatton's face in between fight, you can answer that yourself.

Hatton swells up to 180+ between fights. Pac only on the 150s. Big difference.

Appolinari im in full agreement :good im about 5'9 and 210 lbs and in good shape, when ive stood next to Ricky for photos etc apart from the height there aint much difference, he is a pretty solid block if you will, i wouldnt say he is obese just built like your average bloke. Whatever works for him he is one of the best to come out of Britain in ages.

I crucify Hatton for being a wrestler which is what he is..He may be allowed to fight like some dirty club fighter in Britian but not in the States where boxers actually fight..I'm just glad Cortez wouldnt let Ricky get away with the wrestling bull****..Collazo owned him first and was robbed and finally PBF owned him..****ing disgrace..you brits need to back a real fighter like Haye

Hatton said it himself after he beat Collazo
'why does everybody talk about boxing as being all about long range , there is a science to fighting up close to'
and he is 100% right Hatton would be up **** creek if he had try to stand off Collazo and outbox him, he has to do what works for him.

I enjoy how Hatton fights like a little terrier granted he does clinch but not like John Ruiz, at least Hatton throws punches!
