[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular] Also expect the return of 'the Baby Faced Assassin', Marco Antonio Barrera, who had called it a day after his defeat at the hands of Pacquiao in October.

"Marco Antonio Barrera came to see me last week in the office in Los Angeles and he did inform me that he wants to continue with several more fights, all of which will be promoted by Golden Boy," Schaefer would say. "So we're currently looking at possibilities for him. One fight he was interested in was David Diaz. I discussed that with Bob Arum and Bob is not interested in that fight since he would like to see Diaz fight Pacquiao sometime in June, assuming that Pacquiao is going to win.

"I think Bob is making a mistake because I think Pacquiao is going to lose and then I guess we can do David Diaz versus Marco Antonio Barrera." - maxboxing

wtf... whats interesting to me is that he'd like to fight David Diaz, You think its just to throw salt on the wound since Morales was robbed and he thinks he can do a "better" job than Morales did? Barrera always seemed a little shady to me but thats just my personal opinion it doesn't mean much. Either way w/e he looked pretty much awful vs an awful looking overweight 140+lb Manny Pacquiao.

MAB vs. D. Diaz would basically be a repeat of the first fight against Juarez, only this time MAB loses.

barrera fought a negative /boring/give me my pay cheque without me getting hurt fight v paq last time out .

he fought like he was a typical journeyman fighter , going in against a prospect whose job it was to give him rounds without offering much in return .

it was a glorified sparring session except they were earning money of there names and not what they were doing in the ring.

I think its good for him or anybody who can keep fighting at a professional level. Milk it..

    I wouldn't mind a Morales-Barerra IV at 135.

Poor David Diaz, seems like he's the hot ticket cause he holds a belt.

Quite the opposite. He must like the fact that he is being chased by 130 lbers., the top draws at that. No lightweight other than him and Juan Diaz ares lucky enough to have a good chance of landing the big fights.

That rematch would be a hard one to sell after the 1st mismatch--maybe as top fight of the undercard it could be slipped in.:smoke :smoke
