    I devoted weeks of last year studying Canizales, but sadly I forgot much of my learnings in the intervening months. And then I saw Gonzalez at work, and it brought back memories of the great bantamweight Canizales! Roman is sorely lacking in experience at the level he himself operates from; a step up in quality is long, long overdue, but his talents remind me of Canizales and I've said so in the past. I just wish we could see his combinations against a stronger contender.

    It's not a comparison; not one that would work on more than one level anyways. Some of the more learned posters here would surely find flaws in it or dismiss it outright. I can't help but think about Canizales though seeing Gonzalez fight. Maybe it's just my personal impression of both.
