if you take a year off of fighting of course your going to miss alot ,floyd only has 2 fights left in him and that's it age will catch up with him as it has with others.

Ortiz's face was already starting to get swollen up. Had the fight went on mayweathers offense would have gotten better, like it always does during the later rounds in his fights. He normally starts fights off ad******g to what his opponent will do and most of the time his opponents win a couple rounds in the beginning because of this. Floyd came out and played the aggressor most of the fight and the simple fact that Ortiz was loosing on points so early should show most people he was out of his league. I understand people have their personal reasons for disliking floyd but using corny ass half second videos of misses (that usually lead to lands directly after) is just stupid. Being ignorant on purpose does not help your argument unless your talking to other ignoramuses.

 

Younger fighter and 16 months off but one thing I did notice that no one is mentioning look at Ortiz face after being knocked down twice and went 12 rounds with Berto his face was getting busted up early with floyd so he couldn't be missing to much after two rounds one of Ortiz eyes was swollen and soon to be closing. I can understand anyone for not liking Floyd but don't look for lil things to boost manny's chances it they did fight manny makes a lot of mistakes floyd would easy capatilize on that others didn't.

 

ok the fact taht he compared Ortiz defense to pacs is a joke. Pac doesnt have the best defense but its far superior to ortiz who has ZERO defense. He doesnt know how to block anything. Floyd missed a lot probably due to rust and slowing down a bit.

 

I'm not going to watch the video but can discuss your question. Mayweather did look rusty and wild in the first round, he did miss a lot and throw weird wild punches. It was safe for him to do that because his opponent was Ortiz.

 

LOL so true. I could make a video of pacquiao getting beat up by margarito by taking bits and pieces of a fight, even though he dominated him.

 

Floyd missed alot because he gets better late in the fight. If you look at the punch stats his number were going up every round.

 

What I see with the video was even if Mayweather was missing or landing he was controlling distance and controlling pace. Ortiz was stuck as he couldn't get past a certain distance without having to avoid punches and Mayweather looked more active.

Mayweather gets more accurate as the fight goes on in all his fights. He was getting picked off vs Oscar to in the beginning until the championship rds. Mosley had Mayweather looking wild early as well.

 

Ortiz did crack mayweather good a few times!

 

But Floyd lost the 12th round to Oscar.

 

Who cares if he missed couple of shots? At the end of the day he knocked the holy **** out of that tree.
