Now I understand why some of u guys on here gave him (Ortiz) so much credit, Lampley's commentary lead many to believe Ortiz was landing. I love his energy but God is he awful at calling live action.

Perfect example- end of round 3, Floyd is hurting Ortiz, and Lampley is going on and on about how Ortiz is getting to Mayweather

Rewatching the fight, mayweather beat him worse than I thought, and the ko was more of sucker punch than I thought, last week.

Lampley makes up **** as he goes along and makes up punches landed when the other fighter is landing them, LMAO.

vic fought well the first two rounds. Round 3 if you notice.. Lmao mayweather let him know he was just sizing him up and THEN floyd broke out the counter left hook that put the brakes on ortiz aggression and he was in "oh ****" mode. Ortiz is the only one that got punched cleanly and flush the whole fight. Sure ortiz landed some but when floyd started to counter ortiz folded and his rd 4 melee was out of desperation. Floyd was landing right hands at will and hurt him with a body shot. Ortiz tried to headbutt 5 times since the end of rd 2. Every time he closed the distance really... He got warned twice and ALL of them were intentional. Floyd outpointed rds 1-2 and whooped ass the rest of the fight. You ***** ass idiots going to sit and say floyd got the worst of rd 4... Lmao... Queue in the power shot stats for that rd and remember mayweather is the black guy..

I watch all sports on "mute".

What are the "experts" going to tell me that I can't see for myself.

Announcers seem compelled to do that. They seem to want to sell the fight while it's happening and therefore the sport.

I just watched the fight. I actually walked around all week, went to work, watched ESPN, and never saw the results to this fight. So, I knew Mayweather won.

Suckerring Ortiz like that...wow...I don't know what to say about it. I guess that too is boxing. In a way it didn't matter. This is one of those fights where you say fighter B (Ortiz) could concievably win if he catches fighter A blah, blah, blah. But, it is in all probability a foregone conclusion.

Ortiz seemed unaffected by it all. Why not? He probabaly just got paid what a non-union laborer in Kansas makes in two lifetimes. The joke isn't on him.

The fight was turning out to be decent. Ortiz showed that he was at least fast enough to catch Mayweather every now and then, and at one point Mayweather didn't seem to like the fact that Ortiz caught him with a couple of shots. Ortiz wasn't winning that fight, but he wasn't being blown out either. (Sigh) I wonder what rounds 5 thru 12 would have looked like.

I remember Lampley doing the same thing with Pacquiao-Cotto. Pacquiao landed 4x as many shots and hurt Cotto and Lampley was saying how Cotto won the round.

First two rounds were semi competitive, but 3rd and 4th round Floyd was gettin loose on him. U could see it in Ortiz' face, he was getting peppered with shots and was looking for a way out.

I think that except for a little roughing on the ropes, it was going to be a mayweather showcase - a brutal masterpiece that was over inside of eight rounds.
