YEAH!!!!! Jon Jones beat Rampage by RNC

RNC, as in the Choke? I thought Jon Jones was a through and through striker :O Interested to watch this now!

 

Rampage should get the shot after Davis... did you watch that match? Why would Rampage get another shot? Jesus christ you're so ****ing stupid.

Rashad has struggled with length and a decent jab in the past in his bout with Griffin. Griffin is slow as **** AND feather fisted and he was still able to keep Rashad on the end of his jab and low kicks all night by exploiting Rashad's overactive and sloppy footwork and nonexistant jab and head movement. Hell, feather fister Griffin wobbled him which was the first clear indicator that his Chin was wet toilet paper.

Jones can do all of that twenty times better than Griffin and he will. Rashad won't be able to get inside of Jones' reach to shoot and he sure as hell doesn't have the timing or footwork to try and counter him standing. Rashad has one of the worst Glass Jaws I've seen to date at this level of MMA, only a bit less mushy than Griffin's Mandible, and the first time that jab lands solidly you're going to see Rashad do the Kirkland. A few low kicks later and he's worried about that and then the right hand is coming straight through the guard behind one of them and it's lights out.

 

Don't forget about Mo Lawal, he will be the SF champion again so it will be him as the SF LHW champion and one of those 4 : Davis, Evans, Rampage or Jones as the UFC LHW Champion.


Oh, and Gerald Harris will be the Dream MW Champion because he is the best

 

I'm not so sure Rashad's chin is better than Forrest's. The punch that rusty old toothless Rampage almost KO'd Rashad with was an innocuous, glancing blow that wouldn't even have troubled most fighters. Page hit prime Griffin with better shots, and Griffin didn't go anywhere. The punch Rampage landed on Suga Rashad was like the punch that Franklin knocked out Chuck with - the effect of the punch was so much worse than the true value of the punch that it was clear evidence of weak punch resistance. Once Rashad declines a little in the way Forrest did, he'll start getting caught and finished by guys like Keith Jardine, he'll start getting stomped into oblivion by guys like Shogun, and he'll start getting embarrassed and knocked stupid by guys like Anderson. Rashad is a good fighter now, cautious and disciplined, but his chin is ripe to suffer losses in time just like Forrest did.

Yeah, that "punch" was pathetic and it was CLEAR evidence that Rashad has one of the worst Chins in MMA, but I find it hard to rate him higher than Griffin on the Glass Jaw rankings because he at least hasn't been flattened by a jab. Either way, both have disgraceful punch resistance. We'll find out just how disgraceful Evans' is when he fights Jones and I'm going to wager a guess that he'll be wobbled by a jab at least once.

 

Has anyone pointed out that the actual choke wasn't a rear naked choke at all but what we called an old school bare handed choke - palm to palm as Joe Rogan pointed out during the telecast. But that makes this thread even funnier because I'm sure Stoo knew that already.
