Maidana v Prescott would be an entertaining fight

Both brawlers but Maidana is the better brawler, I think Maidana stops him late after a back and forth fight but Prescott like in the McCloskey fight runs out of gas.

    I disagree.

It was close but i had Paul by 1 round, so i can see how either fighter could have been given the nod.

If every close fight is a "robbery" when you disagree with the result then dont watch boxing.

Dana white puts it beautifully when he says "Dont let it go to the judges"

Because we all know watching a fight on TV and going to an event where you only ever get on view ,is totally different.

Their styles would actually match up well and while it lasts it would be entertaining. Maidana would prove to be to good for McCloskey though and wear him down and stop him. Bring it on though, it would be a pleasure to witness a boxer of Maidana's calibre in Ireland.

I didn't mean he got robbed like Williams/Lara, I'm just saying that in my opinion, and the opinion in most who watched the fight McCloskey got the decision because it was in his hometown. And I'm just saying that if Maidana edges it like Prescott did then he may not get the decision either.
Calm down though, your blood pressure's getting to high.

It was a close fight and two of the judges scored it so. Terry O'Connor's score card was bizzare. I've watched the fight over three times now and I scored several rounds differently each time.

McCloskey was the aggressor for most of the fight and like it or dislike it that's always going to influence the judges especially in the latter rounds. Prescott boxed well on the back foot but unfortunately for him the judges didn't appreciate it.

I reckon McCloskey did enough to get the nod and it was a fair call. BTW - it wasn't in his home town either.

Okay it's not his hometown but he has fought there quite a few times.
