What do you lot think of him as a commentator then, seems like he has the fight night gig full time now. Was surprised when I found out he left the NFL coverage on Sky, he seemed to really enjoy that and new his stuff. Wonder if he left on his own accord or Sky pushed him in the direction of the boxing, although thinking he did do other things for other broadcasters while he worked the NFL for Sky so maybe he was freeleance and this boxing gig was something permanent with Sky so he decided to take it Wonder of if gets sent state side for the big fights or they use Rawling for that and keep Halling just for the British end Seems to be doing a decent enough job but then again I have always been a fan of his through the NFL so maybe I am biased
Hes much better than Adam Smith (thats not difficult). But I'd like to see him be more willing to say things how they are, especially when the home fighter is losing. The mccloskey fight was a great example. He wasnt praising prescott enough and was overlooking some of prescotts work. he did a decent job at the weekend though
Halling was apparently a freelancer when he did Sky's NFL coverage now that he's moved onto the boxing he's a permanent member of staff.
you lot are way way way to critical. its actualluy quite funny to hear everyone btich and moan about it all the time. if you think your any good why not try it yourself. you will work in boxing and i halling probably makes more cash than you guys right now.
He did the commentary on bbc's football league show for a while last year. He is ok, seems to be good one week and bad the next. He wasnt the best for Hall/McDonnell but was quite good during Sykes/Buckland.
Says the guy who loves criticising boxers, but doesn't have the balls to get in the ring himself :roflatsch
this is a boxing forum. its all about praising and crisicising boxers. you do the same on this forum. i have actually boxed. i never say i am better. posters on here genuinley beleive they could do a better job than halling. lets see it!
