I just watched Spinks/Karazin on Showtime last night

    And to me, I felt that Karmazin won it. It was a close fight, no mistaking that, but I felt that Karmazin had the edge. Just my two cents.

    On points it was a toss up. As a fight Karmazin won it and Spinks showed why he is the most loathed fighter in the sport today.

    This fight had the DLH/Tito effect. Spinks won the earlier rounds but watching him run the last 5 rounds or so make it hard for me to give it to him.

    I think Karmazin won.

    I can't remember much details of this fight, for a few reasons. I thought Karmazin edged it on the simple case he was the champion. I believe it was Lou Filippo who said in winning rounds, a challenger has to take the fight to the champ...basically take the title away. Similiar to what Mayweather Sr. said in the post-fight of De La Hoya/Mayweather Jr. (although I had Mayweather winning). You can make a case for either guy in this fight, I had Karmazin winning...but Cory Spinks got the victory and the belt. There are many fights that are close and can go either way as there are many fights that are one-sided and still go the other way.
