Bottom line is DLH did not show up to box, he showed up to run and avoid exchanges......and it was'nt just the last four rounds. Too much lateral movement and not enough punch output. Plain and simple is why he rightfully lost the fight. If I remember correctly I had DLH up 5-3 after 8 rounds and gave the last 4 rounds to Trinidad by default. One thing I'm certain of is that DLH did not sweep the first 8 rounds of the contest. .....most of the rounds were up in the air going into the final seconds because DLH was in avoidance mode.
Oscar's corner has caught a lot of flack, but everytime I've seen the HBO broadcast of the late rounds, I just hear Oscar's corner telling him to "box, box". Clancy said "no more rounds like that", after the 10th I believe, and Alcazar told him "make sure you know they won the round". Oscar has admitted he was fatigued. As it is, I thought Oscar won anyway. He won enough early rounds on my card.
Something about having gloves laced on my fist, the sound of a bell and only 1 guy standing on the other side of the ring tells me only I can win or loose a fight.
Did you mean "Wiped?" :hey Trinadad was doing well, and Oscar did his usual "I'll run now, and if they give it to him I'll just ***** that I was robbed" performance.
