Diet is key when losing weight, but just saying half your calorie intake is ridiculous.

What do you eat on an average day, Shin?

breakfast: 2 fried eggs, garlic and onion (in olive oil). with a few slices of steak. 1/2 cup oatmeal with banana or mango.

snack 1: potatoes w/ skin, onion and garlic w/ eggs made into a soup. usually add some leafy green for toppings. (cilantro, mint leave, spinach etc.)

lunch: rice and chicken or another main protein (beef, fish, lamb). a bowl of soup from snack 1. and try to add fruits.

    dinner: same as lunch.

pretty much i avoid all process foods and try to consume whole foods. i could use more veggies and fruits. but budget is tight atm. i cook all my food too.

my biggest concern is cardio. im a smoker and asthmatic. and have been for the last 15 years of my life. its a huge burden which im trying to overcome. so workout advice would be nice.

Burn more calories than you intake and you will lose weight.

    Its that simple.

Having said that, I'm a fat ass guy with man titties, too. I run 2 or 3 days a week, watch what I eat and box some...and I just can't drop the weight.

I keep at it anyway. I'm sure you will have better luck than me.

Well its actually nearer 1900 cal but if you drink milk instead of water with your protein shakes you will have to factor that into the plan.

Im starting a six week fat stripper program at the gym as a case study looking to get down to get down to about 200lbs and will post up details as and when I have them to see if its any use to any one.

Hey OP, I've been a pack a day and even a 2.5 pack a day smoker for some time now. If you want to burn some weight you need to put in more cardio. Now this doesn't mean you have to push yourself the first time out. All you have to do is setup a routine and build on that every week. Make sure you stretch before and after your jogs. Keep a steady pace that you can maintain, meaning don't try to sprint. Aim for a prolonged period of time not speed. A perfect and controlled repetition, is not only safer on your muscles, but also builds the muscles much quicker than a sloppy rep at a vigorous pace. Control your motions, control your workout

Jog at your pace, maybe start at 5 minutes of non stop jogging. Do this twice a week, and slowly build duration and speed when you feel comfortable. You can also do a jog walk jog thing too, just don't push yourself too hard the first month. You can injure yourself, and slow this whole thing down, I know from experience. By the end of the 4th week and 8th jog, you will feel a huge jump in your cardio fitness. Increase to 3 days a week and speed and duration etc. ALWAYS stretch before and after. Hamstrings, quads. Inner, outer thighs. Calves. Also stretch out your abs too.

The more cardio you do, the less you will smoke. You'll eventually feel the craving for the cigarettes, but your body won't allow it because of how clean your lungs will feel.

Less cigarettes the more money you have to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. I personally like to eat seedless grapes, or some strawberries in the morning with some cashews or other nuts, and for a late night snack I'll eat tomatoes with some salt n pepper, maybe some olive oil and vinegar. I'll boil some eggs too and eat em. Boil for 6 minutes, take off heat and cover, let sit for another 5-6 minutes. Perfectly boiled eggs. BAM
