Better pressure fighter then Floyd Mayweather in boxing today?

In recent years, id say Barrera was great at pressuring, today i would have to say Brandon Rios.

Floyd is definetly up there when he chooses to pressure tho :good

If we get back to topic, I'll name the following:

Mayweather (when he does it, you can clearly see Mosley and Ortiz getting very uncomfortable and start dancing around on their toes which is uncharacteristic)
Wlad (always in your face sticking out the jab, very tiring. when you jump on him he either takes a steps back, clinch or knocks you out with a right hand)
Pirog (not proven enough but he looks interesting, very measured, looks for openings)
Pac (yes he is better of the back foot nowadays actually, but that doesn't mean he's not very good on the front foot. Shut out Mosley, Cotto and Barrera when pressuring. Gave Ledwaba and Sasakul hard times early in his career when he was more one-dimensionally pressuring asnd that paid dividends ultimately)
Ward (hard to get rid off, rough, strong and quick to get inside)
Vitali and Cotto I guess, although the latter can be countered when he does it
The smallest guys I don't know that much about, but Roman Gonzalez and Segura have pressured well when I'ven seen them


Margarito, Arce and Rios are the definition of pure pressure fighters, but I'm not sure I'd call them great. The definition of intelligent pressure is tricky; it works most of the time for these three so it can't be THAT unintelligent. They know they have great chins and are bad at defending so makes the most of what they have. I would rather call their style of pressuring sloppy and all-in. Not refined but in the same way not unintelligent.

Katsidis is not a good mention I feel. He often get knocked out and countered when he does his predictable stuff.

Glen Johnson and Cloud doesn't qualify either; Johnson lacks the legs, variety and pure power to put all opponents away. Cloud lacks in brain and footwork mainly.

Chavez, Duran, Lamotta, Armstrong, Pryor and Tyson are, obviously, some outstanding examples from the past. Other inactive greats are Winky and Calzaghe. To think that a bloated Wright gave Hopkins a very tough, close fight is astounding. He made Mosley and Trinidad look completely inept and one-dimensional - he almost sterilized them! Calzaghe tired out a still very well-conditioned Hopkins with his footwork.
