It is and always has been the athletes responsiblity to make sure, that the substances he/she takes is legal. Which Roy at the very least didnt.

 

he beat John Ruiz. Not legit. Roy was good but Lennox was champion then and he didn't fight him. He beat the guy who had no power and who he was faster than. Most guy never touched Roy in a fight, so how was Ruiz going to?

 

although he brought excitement and entertainment to the lower weight fighters...naseem hamed was rather overrated. his speed and punching power was pure breathtaking but his technique was downright ugly. in his first real competition, MAB embarrassed him.

 

Jones been KO'd on more continents than any HOF fighter I can think of.

Point two, it was legal but a component within an over the counter product was banned. Do you read the label of all the products you take?

No it doesn't it contains Ephedrine, Twinlab produced an androdiol product. Andro supplements are technically not steroids, they are pre-cursors, weaker and not as effective

Jones was a ATG and a first ballot hall of hamer, but this "over the counter" BS needs to stop. These shady companies back then were selling full blown roids in stores using legal loopholes. You used to be able to buy superdrol/mdrol in a damn GNC and that **** gave you bigger gains in a month than stacking test and dbol could. People involved in training a world class boxer knew that **** was roids regardless of if the general public knew it or not.

The more I watch him fight the more I feel he might be the best ever h2h, by the time I became a boxing fan Jones was struggling with tarver in the first fight so I missed his prime. But when looking back trough his fights the man seems amazing and capable of everything, maybe im overrating him h2h but underrating him when ranking him compared to others im not 100% sure yet.
