Negatives His Defence is Reflex based and his Reflexes while good are not great which causes him to get caught while he pulls away. He also gets caught while he is coming with his mind on offense. This happened against Ndou and Jennings a number of times. His level of Oppostion up to now has been below par also which wont help when he steps into world class against quicker , smarter and hard hitting fighters. Postives Hes a great Offensive fighter. His power, Technique , speed and especially his variety are very good. He has a great jab which he uses to set up his attacks and for a 24 years prospect his Patience is very impressive. He never rushes in and wastes his punches. He just takes his time and slots his punches in. The way he was switching the right hook to the body to an uppercut against Ndou was lovely to watch. Overall if he improves his defense and actually develps an effective defensive style then he can go all the way IMO. Great Talent
It's no secret that most dont think Brook will hack it at world level on the forum. I think he's very good and like you say if he can tighten his defence and tuck that chin he can be a solid world champion.
Kell i believe will win a version of the world title, he's got a bit to work on but no harm in that as long as he wants to develop.
I don't think he'll win a title. Title's are pretty tied up at the moment. WBO with Pacquiao WBC with Mayweather IBF with Berto WBA with.. forgot his name. Won't be easy, or any time soon.
Divisions can clear out rather quickly, Were seeing it with the Lightweight division. I think Kell should go for WBA Route and tbh i wouldn't be to worried chucking him in with Berto in years time.
Brook has the Wba inter shitty belt. And his next fight is a WBA eliminator, so i dont see why Eddie Hearn cant bring Senchenko over here early next year.
The thing is that in 6 months to a years time 147 will become deeper. Alexander has moved up (not great I know), Khan is going up, Bradley will probably fighting there. Mathysse was bigger on fight night in his last fight at 140 then Khan was against Judah, so I expect him to move up as well, not only for weight reasons but because the better fights will be at 147 then. Maidana might move up as well? You already have Pac, Floyd, Berto, Ortiz, and Mike Jones there. Add to that the 140 pounders moving up and it becomes a tough division for Kell
:deal There were rumours not too long ago that Kell was stuggling with the weight at 147. I wouldn't be suprised to see him move up to 154 in the next 18 months.
i think he is genuinley the most under rated fighter on this forum. his opponent next week is genuine fringe title holder level. if kell does a job on him and dominates you would have to be impressed. i could see him taking berto & senchenko on the right night.
It's hard to gauge where Kell is in his career and how much noise he can make at world level, when he's been matched softly so far, his Best win is a 39 year old, Lovemore Ndou and in that fight he got tagged quite a bit, I just get the feeling that with his style, he's going to leave his chin in the air and get floored.
:deal It's because of his level of opposition people were/are critisising him, it was Franks fault. I agree the polish dude is a solid fighter, if he stops him that would be a big statement.
