Wladimir, of 56 victories only 5 fights went the distance: Everett Martin in 1998. 8 round fight. Chris Byrd in 2000. Shutout. Wladimir becomes Champion for the first time. Undefeated Samuel Peter in 2005. 114-111 with 3 KDs scored for Peter. Undefeated Sultan Ibragimov in 2008. Shutout. David Haye in 2011. Lopsided victory. Vitali, of 43 victories only 3 fights went the distance: Undefeated Timo Hoffmann in 2000. Shutout. Vitali just lost the first time by injury to Byrd. Undefeated Kevin Johnson in 2009. Shutout. Shannon Briggs in 2010. Shutout. Silly beating. I think there arent too many Champions who can be compared to the domination of the Klitschkos. Wladimir lost the last time 7 years ago, Vitali 8. Wladimir knocked out Everett Martin 1 year after their first fight. Does anyone have footage of Martin's 2 fights against Wladimir? Martin has an impressive record of opposition, fought everyone you can imagine through 2 eras. From Cooper, Foreman, Moorer, Bowe and Holmes to Hide, Brewster, Krasniqi, Liakhovich, Sosnowski and Chagaev.
People don't really have beef with the brothers themselves, just their idiot fans that claim they would beat x, y, and z from the ATG list because they are 'too big', and when their opposition is brought up they will happily disregard the evidence. And the fact they aren't too exciting. Their knockouts that are mentioned generally aren't traditionally exciting either, it will normally consist of the opponent being weathered down for 10ish rounds before being put down. Before someone gets their knickers in a twist, this is just an explanation.
Yes it is. But why couldnt Wladimir ended the fight earlier against Chambers? Cause Chambers was in the exact same surivival mode as Mosley was against Pacquaio for example. This content is protected This content is protected Doesnt it require more brain and boxing ability to dissect and wear an opponent down for half of the fight and then finish him off? Sometimes it does. The Klitschkos will never go balls out like Mike Tyson and try to knock your head off in the first rounds, people should start realizing that. They will never give you a chance to catch them slipping. They box perfectly for their size and abilites that is why they are on top of the world today.
They probably would be if Floyd was fighting guys that were 20% of his bodyweight lighter than him, and that's with the opponent being tubby. So, Floyd fighting a tubby 120 pound fighter for example. I do agree with that. Both guys have made the absolute most of their physical advantages, and fight to maximise their benefits of that, and minimise the opponents advantages.
So, he's old, been around a long time, and is a professional opponent? How many of those fights did he win?
So you see every Klitschko opponent as tubby? This is the Heavyweight division afterall. Was Haye tubby? Or Adamek for example? I would say Arreola had too much on him or Chagaev is tubby. But not every opponent of them. This content is protected
