We need to remove Primetime from the equation now. BoxNation looks to be picking up very good cards and has ties with Goldenboy and Sauerland. We are getting Hopkins vs Dawson for free. If Primetime had secured it, we would be looking at 15 quid. We were forced to pay to watch Froch and we are getting Froch for free on Sky now. Primetime are fleecing us with the 15 quid PPVs. DONT PAY FOR THEM, At 10 quid per month, BN is a bargain in those terms. Primetime and Premier are mickey mouse companies now. We have Sky to compete with BN so Waren will not hold a monopoly so we do not have to worry about him increasing the price etc. PRIMETIME WOULD HAVE TAKEN 15 QUID MORE FOR HOPKINS VS DAWSON. They employ garbage like Benny Ricardo and Wayne McCullough. That is another reason to boycott them in its own right. I for one will NOT buy another 15 quid PPV on primetime and I urge you all to do the same.
lets hope they dont get pac vs marquez or cotto vs margarito. that could be 30 quid out of your pockets to watch two fights!!
Pacquiao v Marquez and Cotto v Margarito will be shown on SS. The reason Floyd was on Primetime was due to Khan's dispute with Sky as far as i'm aware, hence the reason Golden Boy went to Primetime. None of the above fighter's (except Marquez) are Goldenboy, and even the Goldenboy fighter will be fighting on a Top Rank Card
Probably, and that's upto you wether you decide to order it or not. If your a Khan fan, you'll happily stump up the extra cash considering Boxnation is apparently free until the New Year. So if it is free until the New Year, the money you've saved on a Boxnation subscription pay's for the Khan fight
i think both are bad for the sport really, just tucking boxing further away from more viewers making it more a niche sport on smalltime ppv cable channels interesting to see how sky react though
Yes and No. I see your argument in how it can be bad, taking away fight's we'd normally have seen for free on Sky. But if Boxnation get their act together, and show cards from GB, TR on a regular basis then it'd be great.
Yeah archive for when there's no event's on. Boxnation has got a lot of potential, let's just hope it make's the most of it
If anything Im hoping that with the emergence of Boxnation, Primetime will lower their price for PPV's. I would have bought the Khan and Mayweather fight's if they were cheaper and better value for money, I don't see how they can try and charge £15 quid everytime? Not when Fwank's offering a £10 a month dedicated Boxing channel.
im not ssaying so much for the fans, itll work out better for some hardcore fans, more the sport i tself moving even further away from the mainstream, its not just that theyre unknown channels its that they dont get the sky sports news hype going for them and the fighters will find it even harder to make their names known to casual fans than they already do plus people who arent massive fans will just put the boxing on because theres nothing else on sometimes, see a good fight and then become a fan of that fighter now thats going to go because those people wont subscribe to boxnation/pay ppv on primetime in the firstplace
It's very simple. If you want to watch a fight on Primetime and think it's worth the money then but it. If not then don't. No need for ****ing boycotts.
I THINK ITS beneficial ,but you get idiots like Laz who love it and buy all there ppv's .so with these idiots about there always going to have an audience
