No. Neither would Floyd fighting Martinez. Fighting each other is the biggest thing they can do for their legacies. Fighting Martinez would be huge, but not as big as fighting Floyd.

at 160 yes, but the problem is people would discredit sergio right after, who did he beat? paul williams and a drunk kelly pavlik? sergio lacks the hof/atg resume, allthough his skills and the possibility of winning the lineal middleweight title as a former flyweight is great for his legacy.
But with floyd he can take his 0 and become lineal 147, floyd has a good resume and good skills, so in the long run beating him is better.

well actually it would be at 154 since roach wont let pac move up to 160 and i get what youre saying with the resume thing but you cant blame martinez that no one wants to fight him

Big mistake. Sexy Sergio would dominate Pacquiao. Too big, too fast. This aint midget Cotto or brick gloves, or old shot Mosley.

    This ^

After the Marquez fight is out of the way, any fight for either Floyd or Pac that is not vs each other is pathetic at this point, enough of this shite, its beyond embarassing now & has been for the past 2 years.

    GET IT DONE ASAP !

Beating Martinez would be a bigger deal than beating Floyd imo.

pac has nothing left to prove @147. beating fraud mayweather in this division is a only a plus for him. but taking on martinez and beating him, say at 154, is another milestone in his career

If it was for a middleweight title I'd agree...and I think it would "force" mayweathers hand somewhat...however I think Martinez beats the pair TBH.

Hell no. Mayweather is one of the most talented fighters to ever lace them up. He's a future first ballot HOFer and he's undefeated despite being a championship caliber fighter for the last 13 years. No way in hell is beating Martinez bigger than that. Martinez is the most overrated fighter on this forum.

Sergio is overratd as ****. The only chance he has is due to size . People actually want Pacquiao to move up to middleweight and fight this dude :patsch. As a welter he'd get spanked easily. He should stick to fighting guys in his own weight class.

If either of them fought the man for the middlewight crown at 160 it would be huge ..If it happens at a catch weight it will be dismissed as a circus act !!!

The world awaits mayweather vs pacquiao.

If Sergio Martinez wants a big fight then he should move up and fight bute, or froch- ward winner.

At 150, don't see it doing or meaning much for either.

Would be a big draw, but probably not close to a Pac/May bout.
