How I see Ali-Klitchko playing out

So it seems that Both of the bro's fight exactly the same and can be used as one person in fantasy matchups.

It woule be an intruiging fight. Klitchko would obviously take centre of the ring and Ali would confidently move around on the outside. Hard to say how it would pan out. One thing is for sure - Klitchko wouldn't get frustrated and drawn in like many Ali opponents.

The thing about these comparisons is that we always compare "prime" with "prime" which obviously doesn't take into consideration that neither of these "prime" fighters would have reached their dominant prime status during their respective divisions without having had to face the marquee names of the resepective era's i.e. each other if they had of been around at the same time. Therefore consider this -

In such a scenario one fighter would have been the champ with another being the contendor for the crown and I reckon Ali would have dealt with the pressure of being the contendor (Liston v Ali 1) better than Klitchko (Lewis v Klitchko). Take the other anology and let's assume Ali was the champ and Klitchko the 'up and coming threat' then there's only one winner - Ali late stoppage or UD.

Byrd was confusing him somewhat and Byrd is no Ali. Vitali was missing and ended up quiting from some shoulder injury. Ali would have beat both of them before they both even got into the ring.

 

No way in hell, Vitali at least was in a ring with animal(Lewis) while Wlad never fought a trully great fighter!!! Ali beats Vitali UD and maybe stops Wlad.
Wlad wasnt able to do anything significant to Haye and missed alot he just would not be able to find Ali, in my view biggest flaw Wlad has is his safety fisrt style thats why prime Lewis or prime Vitali would walk thru him, Wlad was outboxing Haye and didnt throw 10 decent right hands for me he fights like he is affraid of his chin!!!

Cleveland Williams? That guy was a ****ing monster, but even he could not defeat the invincible Ali. Williams would rule any HW division save the Ali era.

 

Funny about these comparisons which will never happen. There is one thing on this forum, one important thing, that no one ever mentions. Probably because it is a dying art in boxing. What made Muhammad Ali the greatest is because he was a showman. He studied his opponent and had a plan b, c, d etc. He knows the game of boxing and how to win. No heavy weight today will make the Klitchkos "great" because they cannot even get a competitive fight. Most of the cats they are fighting would have likely not done well in the 70's. 80's and 90's. They would have been just decent opponents. Today you have two 6'7" guys with "good" ability, which in itself is levels way beyond their smaller opponents.
If I were to use my history with watching Ali and watching either Klitchko it becomes a late round stoppage by Ali. The K brothers would tire out immensely from missing him, his clinches and tactics, and throwing their bombs at his body (ala rope a dope).
Have you ever seen a Klitchko get hit consistently in the head? Can't remember a single fight yet.
Honestly, the only people who might give them a good fight is this guy Helenus or a really motivated Michael Grant (not likely he would get a shot). But for either of them to win, they cannot go out there and try to box the Klitchko's. They would have to make it a fight to wear them down, a lot of holding and clinching and in close fighting.

 

Did I miss something, Grant? I have not seen Helenuis so I can't comment on him. The rest of your post is money.
