    I picked up th Jack Johnson book Unforgivable Blackness the otter day. I must say, I'm 50 pages in and it's a pretty good read so far

    Good book thoroughly researched as you will notice with the endless footnotes only critcism is i would like it to delve deeper into the darker side of Johnson personality.

    Amazingly detailed good read :good

    Yeah there's like a quarter of every page full of footnotes which is pretty good going. Like I said I'm only 50 pages in so far, but it's easy to read and probably the most well researched book I can remember.

    I couldn't get on with the Greb book, I found the author to be a little incoherent and with poor sentence structure. I'll give it another look over in a week or two, but it looks like LP is gonna get his book back earlier than he thought :lol:

    I'm just about to start Donald McRae's book ''Dark Trade'' It's quite long but looks to be set in short stories so shouldn't be to bad

    Every one mentions this as a must read book. I think its decent but seems to be overrated by many posters on here from what I have seen some good anecdotal stories though.

    He spends a bit too long chatting about South Africa though :deal

    I got these that Ive read if anybody is interested in swapping or lending up here in Sunderland. I'm a lazy **** and cant be arsed to sort out postage etc but will happily meet someone in town to do the swap.

    yep, great read-picked it upfor 50p in a charity shop--read it on my journey to vegas-really set the scene for a trip to fight city,,would be happy to trade for any duran read (not four kings):good

    worked in many corners from prizefights to muhammed ali,,never asked for any payment in his whole career ,lived for the game-real interesting read...
