Someone once said to me, if you have not watched Chad Dawson fight, you do not know boxing.

    To answer the question ------------

    NO!

Dude, Dawson was CLEARLY losing to Pascal up until that point, and he never really should have let it get to that point. Dawson had the skill to dominate Pascal, but did not have the heart.

And we dont know what would have happened if the cut never took place. Pascal did seem hurt but his chin is serious, and Dawson could have gotten himself hurt again like he did earlier in the fight.

Point is, making all these excuses for Dawson will not help him beat Hopkins, who is BY FAR the best fighter he has ever faced. He has looked weak and unfocused in his last several fights, and no, its not because he was wanting to fight BHOP so badly.

It's because the constant trainer changes, inactivity, and lack of focus on his career has actually made him a worse fighter.

Against Hopkins? All of this spells DOOM!!!:deal

Dawson really ought to win this fight. He has the style and physical advantages to win a clear decision, but I question what's going on with him right now.

He's had financial instability and evidently doesn't feel comfortable with *any* trainer. Guys who hop around like that tend not to win their biggest fights, ODLH serving as a prime example. And Dawson certainly hasn't shown Oscar's grit in the ring.

Cheering for Dawson and believe he can do it, but there's certainly ample ammunition to think the old man can pull off one more huge victory.

You sound ridiculous. Hopkins is crafty inside and outside the ring, he avoided Chad until he saw some vulnerablity... What Hopkins and alot of people have failed to take into account is that Dawson fights to his ooposition. Diaconou etc. are absolute bums to Chad, you could see how much he didn't care about that fight, it was a sparring session. Pascal fought like a rabbit against Dawson and snatched the victory, despite Dawson waking up in the later rounds.
Hopkins is one of the fighters Dawson has been gunning for, he'll be motivated and he will dominate. You read it here first.
