 My favorite "offense", people accusing a fighter's fans of man-crush... we are rooting for several fighters, 'sexy' or not. People on the other hand bringing the looks into the argument only expose their latent homosexuality - Who cares about the looks? He's an awesome boxer and has been fighting guys bigger than him, he's EARNED to decide the fate of the P4P#1 status by fighting either Pac or Floyd, both of whom picked up a belt where Martinez would fight them. You see Sergio never claimed himself SMW champ fighting an Ornelas type at a catchweight. Pac on the other hand claims himself LMW champ but not ready to fight the very guy who vacated for him? That's Sexy Sergio.

If he can really drop down to 150, I'm picking Mayweather to beat him up if they fight at that weight. Last time Sergio made 150 was back in 2003. That's over 8 years ago.

Is it really that hard to figure out the reason why he wants Manny and Floyd? Some of you guys are so hard up on shitting on fighters that you find whatever reason to complain. For the sake of ignorance and if you really don't have a clue, the answer is MONEY.

If the top money makers were at 168 and not at 147-154, I have no doubts Sergio would be going after them.

:dealSM dosent claim to be a 168lb champ but both FMJ and MP claim to have held belts at LMW, so whats the big problem? is it that he is better than both ODLH and cheato at this time. so all the *******s are happy for cheato to get a mega pay day but not a fighter who is on a good run and who could pose a real challenge???

Martinez needs to stop being a ***** and fight the guys at 168.... Pacquiao's been dominating much bigger guys, so if Sergio is so great, why can't he do the same. Trust me, it would better for him to gain just a little weight and be strong and healthy and still maintain a speed advantage over the bigger guys, than to starve and dehydrate yourself down to 150 - 154 to fight a great little guy like Pacquiao or Mayweather. Just ask DLH.

Martinez is on that pac juice. Average fighter turned incredible puncher in his mid thirties. In any other sport they would have been probing him with needles.
Boxing is still in the stone ages as far as oversight is concerned

C'mon, BigBone. You yourself can see the holes in the logic you've used with those pictures. Just because a fighter is taller, it doesn't mean he's bigger. Because that would mean a Mike Tyson, if he stood next to those same guys, would be a smaller figher than them, too.

Anyway, I don't blame him for chasing paydays with Cotto, Pac and May. But a the same time, I don't blame those guys for not wanting to face him. Sergio, who himself won't entertain the thought of going up to face the super middleweights, should understand this.

    Hopkins started at 175

Fought DLH and Tito at 160

DLH and Tito natural weights were at 147

Martinez started his career at 147

wants to fight Pac and May at 154

Mayweather and Pac are both champs at 147 and have both won a title at 154

    How is that worse?

Hopkins, at 160, fought 154 fighters.

Martinez, at 160, is wanting to fight 147 fighters (one of them who's probably a natural 140 fighter). And the 'they won a 154 title' excuse holds little weight because both Pac and May immediately dropped the titles and moved back down. They don't claim to be current 154 champs for them to oblige to challenges there. They went back to 147 and under because that's where they belong.

But Martinez is willing to move down to 150 as stated, thats only 3 llbs above the welterweight limit which would be no hassle for Pac and May to rehydrate to . . . So again how is it worse If Martinez is giving up the size advantage?

Hopkins had to drag Tito and Oscar up to Middleweight and the Size difference showed, Hopkins always was a natural light heavyweight, its why he skipped 168. Sorry I dont agree
