If it guaranteed no cost for ppv? A lot of people seem to have reservations about £10 per month due to quality of cards and the prospect of paying extra at some point in the future for worthy fights. Would a fixed cost even if it's more than £20 convince some people to buy into boxnation if it guaranteed no ppv? Obviously for showing loyalty like this you would expect monthly cost to work out less than paying for example 5 or 6 ppv's per year. Thoughts?
Will there be PPVs on BoxNation? Personally, no, unless the offering was so good I couldn't go without it. £20 is too much for a single channel, especially without HD.
not many its not like people pay for a ppv 12 times a year as it is anyway so its not a good comparison
There's been whisperings that there could be ppv's in the future. What sort of deal would you want to buy in?
Whisperings by who? Frank himself made it very clear they had no plans to do PPV for the forseeable future.
I buy at least 5-6 ppv's per year. So that's the best part of £90. £120 for boxnation, £210. If they offered out £150 up front payment or something along those lines I'd be in. Bellew v clev and the Hopkins fight would be ppv if it was on sky I reckon. I'm not saying it's the best deal, but if it seems there will be problems with commitment from fans, they need to offer some decent deals
By charging £10 a month Fwank's bringing in £120 off each subscriber a year, If he was with Sky and had, lets say Three PPV's a year with them at £15 each, that's only £45, He's already £75 quid better off, There's no need for PPV, IMO.
I would need them to basically screen every fight out there. Even obscure foreign cards. I'd also want a second channel devoted to replays of recent and classic fights. Ideally all in HD where possible. Finally a proper On Demand service online.
No way! Hopefully Virgin will get Box Nation and I'll pay the £10 due to the amount of boxing on offer. But that will probably mean I watch more of the PPV events online.
Before I decide wether to take it up just want to see what quality of fights are shown, also what quantity. How many hours do they intend to screen each week, don't want a channel full of repeats!
