I think Pavlik can turn it around! As long as he Trains Out of town like he said he is ready to do! Seeing its gonna be a max of 2 years before he gets a MEGA fight with a Froch, Ward, BUTE, KEssler etc... while he will most likely be on Undercards and Possible FNF's. Would you consider him a "Stepping stone" for Young fighters up and coming at SMW?

I think he should fight some young Undefeated fighters or some w 3 or few losses.

I wanted to believe in Pavlik, but after screwing over everyone involved by backing out of his last fight at the last minute, I can't buy into 'Pavlik Reborn'. He will have to prove himself again, one small fight at a time - just like he came up. He should fight the best guys he can, to show everyone that he's not completely full of **** again.

I think he has so much power but cant beat any good boxer. He gets frustrated when he does not land. His mental state has not been in the right place though, cant write him off, but yes it will take time again. Whether he has the time is the other big question.

It's too soon to tell. Maybe let the guy actually get back in the ring before condidering him ANYTHING?

Jermain Taylor was a fine boxer. He beat him twice.

A big NO! He's only like what, 28? He can rebound if he'll change trainer and mindset. He needs to focus back into boxing and not the money.

Pavliks' time at the top is over, it was an aberation to begin with. You will never hear from him again. He would do well for himself to stay in the game and be a name trial horse. He'll make some decent money. Too ****ed up in the head to ever be at the elite level.

Pavlik can turn it around if he wants to but he might not want to get hit in the head much more from what I have heard him say. He said he wants to be able to talk to his kids when they grow up. But a motivated Pavlik is no stepping stone he is a world beater.

    I think Pavlik is done.
The only chance has has is to be away from his home state and all the bad influences and most of all get a decent trainer.
Also get back to middleweight were he still has power.
Still cannot see him beating a top level fighter at this stage.

Pavlik had Martinez beat to rights. But, he has no cut man or real trainer. Put him with Manny, and he would never lose in about 3 different weight classes.

come on, let's not overrate the man. He lived from his size advantage in the MW division, he would never be slick or quick. Manny could not change that.

The cut against Martinez was only half the truth, he also ran out of gas, as he stated when he returned to his corner. A fight is not won after the 7th or 8th round but after the 12th.
