Martinez! And I would not be totally shocked if he stopped Mayweather. I would be totally shocked if Mayweather found the balls to fight Sergio Martinez.
Don't be surprise :nono Dudes been "shocking" critics and boxing fans from his last two fights. SSM- Everyone said his scared or ducked or too strong for Floyd Ortiz- Young, strong, WBC champ or always picking "old" fighters I have Floyd winning @ 147 Toss up at @154 but still leaning towards PBF
Actually, I should correct myself a bit. I meant at 160 lbs., which I assumed was the weight we were talking about here. At 160, Sergio all day! I don't even think Sergio could make 147 lbs. without seriously hurting himself, so that one is out. At 154 lbs., if Sergio could still make the weight, I would pick him to win. I wasn't so surprised that Floyd took on Ortiz, but was happy that he did. I was also happy and a bit surprised that he took on Shane. I would love to see Floyd-Sergio as I think Floyd would actually prove more by beating him especially at middleweight than he would by beating Pacquiao. Floyd is the classic "reluctant warrior". If you can get him in the ring he has all the heart in the world, but getting him in there is the hard part.
30 days before a fight FLOYD 149 30 days before a fight Martienez 176 would you take that fight at 160?
Well it was quoted on polish boxing site from bscene~. But I found it in original and it's about 150, you're right. They made me wrong. Cheers.
Martinez has the tools needed to beat Mayweather at 154. He's bigger, just as fast, is quick on his feet, a southpaw, has a fantastic right jab, and hits with real power.
There are plenty of attractive possibilities for you above and below the middleweight division. Are you inclined to keep your weight low, or would you be willing to gain weight to try your luck at a higher weight? I try to focus mostly on the fighters in the lower weight classes, at 154 or lower. My body has a tendency to lose weight. I'm a small middleweight -- I'm not a natural middleweight like Kelly Pavlik, who is a big fighter. If I had to go up a little bit to a catchweight in order to get a fight with guys like Andre Ward or Carl Froch, I wouldn't have any problems. But going up directly to 168 would be suicidal for me. I walk around at less than 168 when I'm not even training, usually at about 165. I'm definitely not ready for that division.
