Yep, and also if he holds a win over Hearns.

Archie Moore is the first that comes to mind.

    If, IF, IF...I hate if's!

But IF Golota had not been DQ'd ve Bowe, went on the beat L Lewis, then beat Tyson, which he was on his way to do, I think he would have been HW Champ for 5, maybe 10 years. And ATG status would undoubtedly be in his hip pocket.

Remember now, I'm talking about a mentally strong & stable Golota who loves pressure situations. Then, he's the total package.

Sounds Crazy but Vargas, he faced some great people,if he would've won his fights, and not retired young. he could have a shot. DLH,Tito,Winky,Mosley are great fighters who he needed a win from.

Ali? If he'd gone, say, 2-0 v Frazier, 2-0 v Norton, beaten Spinks - and most of all - Holmes, with his skillset, legacy wins, four times champ etc., he'd be a good shout for #1.

But the real answer is "Duran".
