Mayweather Promotions - Testing procedures

It can't and that's why I think BOTH Mayweather and Pacquiao should agree to the real OSDT and test all year long. I know Floyd would agree to it, but Pacquiao wouldn't. So why would Floyd pay just to test himself on vacation. What's the point in that?

 

Whenever people use the excuse of 'I respect him for wanting to clean up the sport', I ask that very same question. Surely if you were sincere in ridding the sport of drugs like you claim, then you'd apply the same procedures for the other fights you have control of, too? The additional excuse of it being too expensive to implement for other fights, is a weak one, also. Because it means you're valuing the health and safety of the higher profiled fighters, over the lesser ones. How on earth is this a good example of helping to clean the sport, like so many supporters of this farce propaganda claim?

And no, having suspicions - based on no evidence what so ever - of a fighter taking drugs, is not a good enough reason to assasinate the character of another athlete, and demand him to subject to the special testing that you want.

 

I think Pacquiao would actually prefer it this way. His main gripe is with drawing blood during training camp, and within a period too close of a fight. Being surprised with visits and forced to draw blood out of camp where he's not in the middle of any training, wouldn't be an issue for him.

 

not really, i was right on the issue which is floyd's own word that he is cleaning the sport. i actually made you admit that you believe that floyd is actually trying to clean the sport when your first indirect answers means he is actually not and just want pacquiao to take his test.

so my question to you again is; if you think that floyd is out to clean the sport, why not set an example, not only for the big fights but also to his own fighters that he promotes?

you could have avoided all these follow-up questions if you had admitted in the first place that floyd is not cleaning the sport.

 

It doesn't make a bit of sense... Floyd said Pac isn't anything he can't handle...calls him all hype...a midget....says he'd do this and that to Manny and in the process make stupid money.. easy work...but you think he believes Pac is roiding up? Not to mention the whole testing he's created that are labeled "olympic style testing" isn't really anything close to it.....and really has no greater chance of catching a cheat than the current measures....it just costs more and goes on through camp.

 

That there, in my opinion, is one of the main reasons why Floyd wanted this all along. Mental warfare. Everyone knows how Pac feels about drawing blood close to fights. It's just Floyd's way of ensuring a less than 100% Pac turns up in the ring.

What else is involved in the testing to make it cost 100k, blood testing is the cheapest form of testing their is, that's why if you ever go to the docs they always make you do blood tests when there are easier methods.

Bearcat when you change your angle to 'Silvercat' lol. Anyway i believe Khan has a better chance to beat Mayweather than anyone else and here's why. Firstly Mayweather in the last 3 years has only chosen FLAT FOOTED FIGHTERS with limited movement, Marquez, Mosley & Ortiz, why??? Cos these guys didn't stand a chance in heaven of out moving 'Lil Floyd' should the worst happen (i.e they land a punch or 3). Secondly anyone who aint weight drained, can move and throw decent body shots, combinations and can box a little can frustrate and intimidate Floyd (Castillo, Judah & an over the hill De La Hoya). Thirdly nature will take its course and i can't see Mayweather waiting to get out until someone beats him. If they do respect if not RESPECT. Peace x

Pac probably took PEDs in the past, but the fact is that a 7 day cut off is a completely reasonable compromise given that they don't take blood 3-4 days before a fight anyway and given that Pac at first wanted 28 days. That gives Pac a 2 day window to take drugs, under the eyes of the world. Jesus Christ I seriously cannot believe people think Mayweather actually wants this fight.:roflatsch

 

It's pointless.. I do a post or two in the threads to try and get people to see what actually happened then leave them alone.. It's always someone who didn't know a piece of information about negotiations because a large amount of the posts about negotiations are opinion based..

Floyd is one single man... The message is 'I think the guy you all claim is #1 is cheating.. I am willing to pay money to have us both tested so when we fight to determine the real #1, everyone knows it's a clean match.' Floyd's responsibility isn't boxing as a whole.. Floyd has the right to request and do whatever the hell he wants in his individual negotiations. Where are you going with that first paragraph?

Who's paying for the testing? Surely he isn't asking Pac to foot the entire bill... Mosley did it, Ortiz did it, everyone claims they only did it for the payday.. So they can afford to do it making an insignificant amount compared to Pac, but he can't afford to foot part of the bill? Also, WHEN has Pac said he's not doing it because Floyd requested it? Why do you guys always default to 'Who is Floyd'... Why are you all making up our own reasons/excuses? Thought Pac only had an issue with the non cutoff.. :huh

Big Reg answered that stupid question a bunch of times.. Pugi keep asking because he wanted Reg to say Floyd was not trying to clean the sport.. Why the **** do you think he kept asking him if not for that reason? If it was for that reason, why do you think he wants to hear that answer? Because he wants to continue posting stupid **** about Floyd not wanting to clean the sport and even his own fans don't believe it.. Don't play dumb, I know you're smarter than that.

Floyd wants the testing because he thinks Pac is cheating and doesn't want to risk losing to a dirty fighter. He said he wants to clean the sport because Pac sued.. Reg said he wants to lead by example because Pugi wouldn't leave him alone until he did... And probably doesn't want to deal with the idiots who will follow him stating he said Floyd didn't want to clean up the sport.. Because THATS what's important right?
