I think it's hilarious that people actually believe there's a chance this fight will happen.

neither Floyd, or Pac, are going to fight Martinez. He's just too big.

Championships should never be contested at a catchweight, never. If this happens I would be highly disapointed in both Mayweather and Martinez.

This being said, Mayweather beating Martinez at 155 would be more impresive than anything Pacquiao ever done including his first fight win over Barrera.

At weigh in Hoya was 155 and Bhop was 156 and it was for all the MW belts I think.

and no Sergio doesn't have the

MW belt, he got unfairly stripped and Chavez Jr is the current

    champ.

and besides I don't see Floyd fighting Sergio anyway

My bad. . .he actually has the WBC "diamond belt". But we all know he is the lineal champ.

And the rumors about a possible PBF-Martinez showdown some time next year seem to be well-founded rumors.

    Why go around Pac?

Just fight PAC and settle it once and for all.

One second, Floyd fans. Aren't titles at catchweights worthless?

they may be but beating Martinez when he's at a healthy weight is not worthless at all

Maravilla is one of my favorite fighters today, but he is relatively new in the upper echelon of boxing. 3 years ago he was ranked #10 in Ring Magazine. Since then he has KOed an over rated Paul Williams, and beat up Pavlik. Two great wins. Remember the hype behind Williams, Margarito, and Pavlik before they were exposed. I love to watch Matinez fight, and my be a little leary about getting my hopes up, considering the recent busts in the Middleweight division. PBF defeating him would be a great victory, but I can't see it putting PBF above Pacquiao in terms of his greatness. Until they fight each other or lose to another fighter, neither can truely claim to be superior to the other.

It's not about the titles and divisions, but quality of LIVE opposition. A win over P4P#2 Maravilla for the World MW Championship is as good as any of Floyd's or Pac's past wins.

When PW first fought Sergio, he was a top 10 p4p on everybody's list and he was seen as an unstoppable 100 punch a round machine who humiliated a southpaw atg in Winky Wright.

If PW could have a time machine I'm sure he would have never have fought Maravilla if he could relive his life, even if he got a "win" in the first bout.
