So it was a stoppage? What round? Give me some details...PLEASE!!!:!: I can't wait for him to come to the USA & destroy some ppl!
Stoppage. Sylvester did not come out to round 4. Total demolition RJJ style So happy for Grzegorz. Even in Poland only boxing fans know him. He deserves much more, this was his first fight in Polsat. He never fought in Poland. Such a talent, a very inteligent guy. He has the potential to be a real star. And his style
ok it was sebastian, but, he just dominated him. it was a total mismatch. the kid has some defense. hes just so smooth and comfortable in there. look forward to seeing him fight again. he got hit with a shot by sebastian and he just laughed it off.
Yeah that is odd. He's such a natural. Looks like he was born to box. I'm really glad to see him win because for a few years he could not get any good opponents and was hampered by a hand injury, so his level of opposition remained flat. At one point, I remember reading Manny Steward advising Andy Lee to avoid him. This was a couple of years back. I wonder where Proksa will go from here. The EU title is not a trincket that any top name in the division really wants, so this won't really be a big leverage to bring in a good name. Proksa appears to be really good so I think a lot of top opponents will not be to eager to get in the ring with him. IMO Proksa will need some exposure in the US. He'll pick up a following quickly because of his style and talent. Everyone that watched him today liked what they saw. HBO should sign him to a couple of fights. A fight with Pirog, Lee, Geale or even Martinez would be fantastic for early next year, once Proksa can clear a few more indermediate hurdles.
A cut ended the fight. Sylvester was supposed to come on after 6th, when Proksa is suspect with endurance. He got schooled. He could not get his jab off, and he's got a good jab. Proksa can switch hit, smoothly. Any body can laugh when hit....only takes a minute practice in front of a mirror....normally means....yep that hurt. Make that always.
great style, extremly fast, and very good power, and good defense, but he must be cautious with some other faster opponents
I don't get that "Roy Jones wannabee" stuff here. Fighting with your hands down has a couple of big advantages. 1) takes a lot less energy as keeping your hands up. 2) you can punch faster and from more angles. 3) his opponent has more trouble seeing the punches coming. 4) you can build up more power in a shorter time (swing effect). Big disadvantage is of course your defence, so you can only get away with it if you can compensate that with refelexes, quick feet and a reach advantage certainly helps a lot. Proska is exciting, fast, good accuracy and probably be one of the stronger beltholders soon.
