he might not be a knockout artist, floyd jr isnt, but they could market him to the casual hbo view if he fought hatton...he can talk a load of **** thats for sure and play the heel.

I bet the fight would do at least 700,000 ppv buys.

we need more talkers in boxing to make it exciting.

I just dont see a hatton vs pacquiao being a good sell for a 24/7 no drama at all, both guys are humble and pacman doesnt talk ****.

it would be 2 guys just as sports men going at it that would be a hard sell.

Floyd did 850k with Hatton in the US. Maglignaggi, despite his colorful personality, wouldn't get close to that because he isn't quite on the superstar-level.

And bear in mind Hatton's last loss probably downspiralled his stock.

Realistic figures of Hatton-Paulie complete with a 24/7 is 400k... tops.

i disagree with the 400k thats way to small, hatton is a lovable guy and paulie is the villian i still see it doing at least 700k.

especially with the 24/7 and the fight being at 140 for the titles.

you would be surprise how fast a fighter can get known with that 24/7 show.

700k for a 1st time PPV fighter, a little-known one at that, is stretching it IMHO.

I agree with this thread...paulie would do enough talking to get everyone whos not a boxing fan to hate him and root for hatton, like they did mayweather. I think a 24/7 series with these two would do great. Although i dont think the fight would end in the same fashion as mayweather hatton, i believe malignaggi has the superior skills and would pull off the victory. If cotto didnt knock him out, there is no way hatton will.

no its all Marketing! he could do it trust me paulie could do it he is a Guido who talks mad ****...and the way hbo hypes up a fight with 24/7 and then put paulie on leno or letterman to promote the fight and give him a world toour with hatton it will do big numbers.

Yeah, sound logic in theory, but it doesn't quite work like that

Ngoudjo who is not a great puncher had him wobbling around like a ***** in round 7 I think it was

    exactly!

paulie even though a slickster gets hit often as shown by cotto, so this will be a damn good fight to be honest cause hatton will press him hard and paulie has heart so he will keep going.

Paulie is a good boxer but the fighters that sell the most PPV's are the ones who brings excitement, KO's, blood.......... and frankly he is just a good boxer. I don't think his style can attract a big fanbase like Pac Man, Babybull Diaz, DLH, Cotto, Trinidad, Calzaghe, Hatton, Floyd, Pavlik

Showtime made a friggin movie/documentary about him and did you see his fight with Ndgoju?? It looked like they were fighting in a cafeteria with a full capacity crowd of about 200 people.
