I know the first instinct is "hell no." My ONLY reservation would be the punishment he has taken in some of his fights and the neurological problems that could very well be the result. However, it would be intriguing to see a well calculated and more orthodox Cotto fight Pacquaio under Manny. I would still highly favour Pac Man but I have always thought Cotto to be a relatively suburb boxer. Mosley was no slouch at the time they fought and he really used his ring generalship and composure to win the fight. I think Manny showed some holes against Mosley that could be capitalized on. If Cotto stands up straight and sticks with 1,2s along with calculated body assaults, it could be a good fight. I can't say for sure where Cotto is at but if he makes a strong showing avenging his loss against Margarito, I think there could be interest in this fight pending how he looks. What are your thoughts? Cotto is still an A level fighter and while Yuri Foreman is nothing to write home about; he isn't someone to write off either as he gives a lot of fighters trouble with his ability to capitalize on his strengths (ring control, footwork). Cotto DOES have good footwork and personally, I never thought Cotto mentally had the confidence going against pacquaio. It's not talked of often, but a rematch with a new Cotto may be a good fight. I think he may still have the tools to make the fight a boxing match...

No more $60 PPV mismatches. If they did it on Boxing after Dark or something, fine. I'm sick of PPVs that you know aren't going to be competitive at all.

At 154 maybe. Arum will probably have Cotto come down to 147.

**** fight. If Cotto beats Marg and then grows balls and beats Sergio then he would be entitled to a rematch.

lol pac is so overrated... hes def the best boxer right now but people BLOW HIM up to god status if mosley and cotto shook him a well trained cotto with a GOOD trainer (which he never had until steward) could very well capitalize and win it maybe not the KO people would want but a little boxing clinic is a very likely possibility.. people like brawling with pac and it doesnt work now if you stick to the 1-2 and jab to keep distance you essentially disarm him but hey nvm hes god.. on another note i expect cotto margarito to be a hell of a BOXING CLINIC and not the brawl people want to see. Cotto has ALWAYS been an amazing counter/ sharpshooter and with steward in his corner i cant wait to see this second phase of his career.

Then Arum makes it a catchweight to give Pac another title, but Cotto won't touch Martinez
