Roach as well... and of course there are some like Steward and Eddie Futch who had solid amateur careers but didnt go pro. As far as I can tell I dont see anything about Cus or Angelo ever fighting
Tyson would be a great Trainer. He is the best studen Cus ever had, and he is a student of the game. He knows what old fighters like Dempsey and Archie Moore did strategy wise, what their weaknesses are and how to fight them. I remember him breaking down fighters years ago while doing commentary on HBO, and always thought he would be a great trainer. and Who better to keep a young fighter away from the trappings in the business?
I've always been a fan of Mike's knowledge of the game. I remember him breaking down his own fight on TV circa 1985 and was impressed. I loved his commentary during the Cotto/Mayorga fight. I think he would be a great assistant. But... knowing history and strategy doesn't necessarily mean he can build a fighter or his career. I love Mike but he's also well versed in poor decisions during times of duress and blowing major $.
Good to see mike involved in some type of aspect of boxing. For a while it seemed he just wanted no parts of the sport.
