Can you at least admit Floyd's 0 isn't quite as awesome as he thinks?

Surely the TS must be talking about Floyd's run at the heavier weights, and even during this past 5-6 year stint he has only taken on champs and top contenders at their natural weight classes--Judah, Baldomir, Oscar, Hatton, Mosley and Ortiz is a very impressive resume without question.

The lower classes he dodged absolutely no one; Mosley didn't want to fight him back in 99/00 (cited a variety of reasonsbut it was probably due to Floyd's lack of name recognition at the time.) He called out Casamayor and Kosta several times but couldn't get anything materialized with either of them. Aside from that, he cleared out every division from 130 and up.

I will agree that I thought he lost the first fight with JLC. That being said, it wasn't THAT bad of a robbery, I've seen much worse just in the past month. He also did give an immediate rematch where he looked a lot better.

My only beef with the guy is his lack of fighting frequently for the past 5 years. But to think he takes on a 24 year old WW champ and schools him after a 16 month layoff speaks great volumes of how good this guy is.

 

It's the breaks that have made Floyd what he is. Without them his hands would have probably packed in by now and he could have an L on his record, don't forget this.

Ignoring any ridiculous debate about how convincingly Mayweather won that fight. Even if he had lost, how would taking the fight against Oscar have backfired for him? That's the fight to made him famous, and it was the gigantic payday that he had always been waiting for. It was also the biggest PPV in history. You post reads like it there was any real downside for Mayweather in that fight.

 

Huh? Mayweather fought regularly from the beginning of his career until his first hiatus from boxing after the Hatton fight. It was during that period that he had all of his best fights and established himself as P4P #1. Your post doesn't make any ****ing sense.

 

is 0 is actually pretty good. did it in several weight classes only two split decisions and quickly rematched the first one like a true champ (unlike some gay ass undefeated fighters run from tough matches like bitches) should and won more decisively.

given the fact that de la hoya was only getting older, still gassing at the end of fights, and the mayweathers' uncanny ability to make good gameplans and adjust on the go, mayweather probably would've won the rematch. he has a right to be proud of it.

Where these stats fall short and where your intelligence takes a break, is the fact that it is not just floyd being undefeated it is the level of competition he has faced as well as being undefeated going through 5 ****ing weightclasses.

Tell me the last fighter in boxing history who went through 5 weightclasses undefeated?

Mayweather has some truly crazy haters.

Their only comeback is the first Castillo fight. Which was very close due to him stepping up in weight and having an injury.
Mayweather was given the nod. But people were not convinced. He unlike others gave the guy a rematch and still has people moaning.

Jees it was a close fight not a robbery. Sturm vs ODLH was a robbery.

Margarito is a cheat. He has no achievements in boxing after the Mosley scandal. While it was nice to see Pacman obliterate him, he should be banned from this sport. NOBODY should have to defend themselves for not fighting this devil.
