No, baseball, basketball, even lucha libre is more popular than Boxing, many other sports are practiced more than Boxing. Football(soccer), Basketball, and Baseball are the main 3, Boxing isn't even close as far as practicing it.

And here among the Mexicans, as Unka Roger would say "most people (including Mexicans) don't know sh**t about Boxing" nobody seems care about Boxing down here:verysad

Still over 40% of the heavyweight ranks is American, and somehow none of them has a reasonable chance to become champion... Wich percentage is needed nowadays for that to happen? 50% maybe? 60%, 70% or even 80?

Even now boxing isn't really that global, with still a huge percentage being from the US and still there's complain about not every physical athlete taking up boxing.

What about those guys picking up boxing and not competing in American Football, Basketball or whatever... That would mean the US would get there asses whooped on that sports too!

And its a shame really, since Boxing is what Mexico is most succesful at...You'd think we would get a clue, but nooo we rather keep hoping in this false illusion that Mexico would win the World Cup one day. :verysad
