Anyone else think after a long layoff Team Bradley is making a mistake in choosing Casamayor to come back against on an HBO PPV undercard? At the least Casamayor will probably succeed in making Bradley look bad atsch
I don't think it is a bad experience to put him in there with Casa, should be interesting to see how he adapts.
I think that Bradley facing Casamayor is typical of Top Rank's way of handling things. Based on what I see, they put these guys in the ring that are tailor made to make the other fighter look good. It's a legal way of fixing a fight. It's a farce and a hoax. Sergio Martinez (for example) had a fight with Dzinzurik. He's a guy that's hard to look good against with his basic fundamental boxing technique. Sergio not only knocked him down for the first time in his career, but he knocked him down mutiple times en route to a KO. That's a fight that makes a fighter look good and have earned respect. If Bradley beats Casamayor, he'd get very little respect from fight fans like me. He'd get respect for fighting Khan.
Casamayor is a guy who is tough to look good against. Bradley doesn't have the most dynamic style and ring presence to begin with. From a marketing standpoint for a future payday, this is not good. It will get him a W but not help his marketability at all.
No he will do fine, this is a fight to gauge him in the ring and hype him in preparation for Pac bout... The thing is Casamayor is past it, good name to add to resume, decent reward, low risk bout Bradley should take it... Per Top Rank facebook Timbo have an announcement to make supposed to be big, I am thinking maybe he switching tampon brands :huh
