    Wlad-Mormeck
    December 10th
    Düsseldorf, Germany

Wladimir Klitschko: “I know that I am the favorite in all my fights but I also know that each opponent is motivated to be in the best shape ever when he fights me. Mormeck is one of the most experienced fighters I have ever faced. He has had many world title fights, has a very good technique, can take a lot of punches and is very intelligent inside the ring. To underestimate him would be a fatal mistake. I am very happy to return to the ESPRIT Arena where I fought against Eddie Chambers. The spectators and the atmosphere for that fight were great and I am sure it will be again this time.”

Jean-Marc Mormeck: “I can imagine what the odds will look like for me against Wladimir Klitschko. But I know my skills. I had Haye on the canvas and shortly before a knock out which Klitschko could not do. What I missed out against Haye I will now do with him. Wladimir has a glass chin which I will break. He cannot stand punches. Against his brother Vitali I would have thought longer about fighting him but against Wladimir I believe I have very good chances. On December 11, I will travel back to Paris with a suitcase full of championship belts. I enjoy being the underdog in this fight and I will shock the boxing world!”

And let me just get this out of the way now: Is Mormeck the best fighter, the best choice to face Wladimir? Of course not.

However, he is who accepted the fight (several other fighters turned down a fight with Wladimir), and Wladimir can only fight those willing to fight him.
He can't force anyone into the ring. At least Wladimir is staying busy, I'd rather see him fight than just sit out.

    GO WLAD !!!!!

I'm honestly not interested in this bout...unfortunately, because I have really started to enjoy watching Wlad boxing.

Wladimir will hurt Haye's reputation again by brutally stopping one of Haye's best wins in one sided fashion

At least that means Haye can't pull a 'rematch' with Mormeck now.

Could Volo have only taken this fight for the sheer pettiness of enjoying his fans say things like this? Well, even in the aftermath, he does seem to genuinely hate Haye. So, maybe. You'd swear T-shirts were...I don't know, sticks and stones or something. :conf

utterly pointless, although would be hillarious if Mormeck landed a fluke home run

Wlad by KO, that's sure money in the bank. Looking forward to it, the money - not the fight.

Dusseldorf? Why would 50.000 people want to see this?

What a trainwreck of a fight. Hardly acceptable even as a keep-busy fight. Too bad nobody else stepped up.

    :good

No problem with this fight. Wladimir´s last fight was a unification fight against the most dangerous opponent. So nothing wrong here.

I will watch the fight live. The atmosphere in Düsseldorf against Chambers was amazing.

Keep busy fights should never be sold as main event attractions. I expect the usual whiny Klitschko fan response, but mismatches like these hurt boxing. Wlad will knock him out easily and every fan who buys a ticket will be left short changed.

Now roll on the "So you think Haye/Harrison was great for boxing? :rofl" comments.
