It could just be like a lot of people are saying, that Hatton's pride and sense of self was destroyed just as brutally as he was in that fight. Come forward fighters especially define themselves from being able to take anything thrown at them and being tough enough to it all. What happened to Hatton is a major shock in system. Another possibility, one I'm kinda reluctant to bring up, is that Hatton may have suffered some damage from those blows to the head and KO. Anytime someone suffers a head injury there's a chance that something the brain regulates is not quite going to be right anymore. For example the jolt to the brain can cause it to suddenly produce too much or too little of one type or hormone or neurotransmitter and the result is that someone's personality, moods and actions can be different from what they ever were before. There's a reason that long term depression, irritability and personality changes are symptoms of a concussion.
Don't know if you remember, but Pac had never faced anyone as big as Hatton and many people, including me, thought that Hatton's swarming and size were going to cause Pac big problems. Even if it came to a straight up punchout, it seemed likely that Hatton would win it with chin, size and strength. Nobody really understood just how good Pac really was at that time and how well he would carry his power. Barrera, being an intelligent man, was able to deal with his losses by just acknowledging that Pac is a super ATG and there's no shame in losing to him.
I don't think it was a gameplan thing. Pacman was just too good and fast for Ricky. He should not feel bad, it happens to the best fighters who ever fought.
Mayweather Snr got into his head , Manny aint **** blah blah blah, the worst mistake of Hattons career was employing Snr .
You got it all backwards, Sr came up with a good strategy, and found a weakness in Pac's game showing that he throws the right hook and duck under, Hatton ignores Sr, maybe because of his antics try to slug it out then proceeds to get knock down with the exact same move that Sr pointed out to him
Correct:yep Box him & get Pac to lead off & then counter seeing that Hatton was no slouch in the speed department himself but Hatton only ever listened to his cheerleaders. Hatton just binned the agreed stratergy as soon as the 1st bell rang.
"Right Hook roll under, same move everytime" ^^ Bragging about that, and getting nailed with that. I'd be embarassed and ashamed too.
lol, 'same move everytime" . snr brainwashed hatton and led him to believe that he is biggerr, stronger and even faster than pac.
What you 'think' doesn't matter in the real world. History books say Hatton won. Fact. I know, it's hard to deal with facts in your world. But you gotta deal with it one way or 'nother Bruh. :deal
He let his ego mess him up.He disrespected Floyd Mayweather Sr and appointed a bum to coach him.He felt like a moron because Mayweather told him he would get knocked out
