i like cotto but still thinks he loses to pacquiao. before the actual fight, i can see cotto's jabs and body work troubling pacquiao and had seriously thought of betting against pac since cotto might pull it off. pac had an early problem with the jab but worked it out by trying to lure cotto into a firefight by standing on the rope letting cotto take a dig on his body and everywhere else. that changed the complexion of the fight, made cotto more confident to fight head-on and pac just dismantled him on exchanges. that leads me to believe that all those points that cotto possess that could beat pac was neutralized by pac's own gameplan, roach actually objected on it, and i would say that he also beat the cotto version that judah and margo fought.
the 2007 cotto have the same fragile chin as the 2010 cotto or the 2005 cotto or any other cotto. Fact is you can't change that
Eh, Pac would of still beaten him. Even the Cotto of that fight was still prety quick and sharp... and the catchweight of that fight only forced Cotto to come down a single pound from his normal fighting weight. The Cotto before the Margarito might have made it the distance but still would've taken quite a thrashing IMO.
cotto would have been sparked by judah, if not for that low blow.... cotto was a monster with average fighters in front of him...put him against an elite, he crumbles...and he has a weak chin to boot....
Canelo Alvarez? It's an insult to Miguel Cotto to compare the two. Alvarez hasn't done anything of significance in the sport, has shown a far inferior skillset to Cotto's, and looked like crap against Gomez - a fighter Cotto toyed with. Cotto was never great, but he was and is better than that mediocre **** who was gifted a title belt by the WBC.
Same ****. Cotto never could hold up taking hard punches in bunches. That was always his weakness.:bbb:bbb:bbb
