I see what you're saying... I think Mayweather's resume is better than Pacquiao. what I should have said was Mayweather's resume is better, and Pacquiao's big fights of relevance are to guys that Mayweather has beat.

My mistake if that was interpreted wrong. I'm gonna edit that.

but look at it--corrales, Gatti, exactly a younger marquez
    Mayweather has the better resume.

Margarito is a cheater....I already said outside of Miguel Cotto can't take that away form him. No doubt Morales Barerra are amazing too it would be difficult to argue that. But...

What about an undefeated Ricky Hatton? Mosley had an unbelievable performance against Margarito prior to fighting Floyd and Floyd dominated Mosley.

margarito cheating doesn't take away from the fact floyd wouldn't fight him and manny dominated him

i like hatton but he doesn't compare to manny's opposition, and look at what manny did to him compared to floyd. same goes for mosley, mosley almost koed mayweather, he had to go into survival mode to avoid manny, and said manny was the hardest hitter he'd been in with

In a perfect leftie-rightie world, Pac would be there for the straight right. After the 2nd rd in the first Marquez fight, I thought that Pac was there to be owned by the straight right, seeing how predictable he was. Pawing with the right and loading up with his left, but it never happended, and has never happened even against Barrera Morales and Cotto. Most always he gets the angle first before he throws a loaded left, making a disastrous straight right less likely and even if he gets hit, would lack the full leverage it would normally make.

Mosley almost KO's Mayweather yes- but that's a tribute to Floyd's chin why he didn't go down. Mosley did say Manny was the hardest hitter but that doesn't always equal wins.

A Knockout is a knockout dude- you can't really say that Pacquaio's KO although was AWESOME, was any better than Mayweather's because you don't really know when the fighter getting hit is gonna go down...

This is hard- we're just gonna go around in circles about **** that can't be settled unless they fight.

This reminds me of Sugar Ray Robinson's remark after his opponent's punching power registered higher on a meter. "He beat the machine. Let's see what he can do with me."

Good arguements on this thread. To compare the greatness of these two P4P fighters is fun to read. It's a lot better than reading who is ducking who. That's the same old ****!:D

Floyd has great defense and is a technician. Pacquiao has unlimited energy throws a lot of punches and is probably the best offensive fighter in the game right now. That's why this match up is so huge.

Would you bet Floyd's defense shuts out Pacquiao? Or does Pacquiao break Floyd's "philly shell" defense for the win?

The latter. Pacquiao will work at the body mainly in order to break Floyd's great defense and then he will go up to break his face and chin before ending the fight by way of TKO in the late round.:happy

I don't think Floyd punches hard enough to keep Pac off him. Pac is relentless and won't be deterred by the odd well timed punch. He's taken much bigger shots form much bigger punchers than FMJ.

Also you can't compare resumes. Pac wins hands down. In fact if you remove his best 5 wins he still has an a better resume than Floyd. Pac could lose a close decision to FLoyd and still be regarded as the better fighter in years to come.

There's a lot of variables in the "Pac vs Floyd" equation.. both have certain qualities that make them as dominant as they are. Technically Floyd is superior to Pac....but that's not all there is to the sweet science.

It sounds "cliche" but styles do make fights...and while BOTH has tools to cause trouble for the other I do see more telling signs that Pac's style and attributes come with more determining factors that have me leaning towards a Pac "W".

Those areas seem to cause Floyd a lot of self doubt which also factors into my theory that Pac would defeat Floyd....If Floyd has acted this odd in "making" the fight with Pac then one has to question "why"....if Floyd isn't 100% confident in victory we no longer have the same Floyd Mayweather who is very much a "mental" boxer when it comes down to it.

It won't be an easy night for either man but I do feel Pac takes a close decision if it ever comes off.

You're an idiot...do you think they give a **** what food is on your table? tell me you wouldn't go for as much money as possible if you were in that position...I can't hold that against them I don't blame them...Plus, do you think they care about your entertainment over their finances? Figure it out dumbass.
