Who cares? Watch one or the other or both. I don't see how they're related, they're different sports. It's like Ice Hockey fans hating on soccer because they have roughly the same objective, ignoring that they go about it in completely different ways. The only people who should care are the people who stand to make or lose money, I enjoy both so I watch both, if I didn't like one I just wouldn't watch it. Bashing something you have no interest in seems weird and unproductive to me.
So, for those of you who are only boxing fans, and are posting things like "**** MMA" and "MMA is for ***gots" think for a second how you would perceive the intelligence level of someone who started a thread slamming boxing saying "**** boxing" and "Boxing is for ***gots." Yep, you'd think he was a total idiot incapable of constructing an actual argument. And I'd think the same thing too since I'm a fan of both sports. It takes no brains whatsoever to type inflammatory crap with no substance behind it.
I used to like UFC and supported it untill I got sick of UFC president Dana White and that commentator Joe Rogan bashing boxing at every chance they get. Besides I'm tired of UFC fights, the effect is wearing out.
The competition MMA brings forces the powers that be in boxing to put on better matches. . . its part of the reason 2007 was such a good year in terms of matchups.
There are other MMA organizations, hell there are even other organizations on basic cable and free TV
that is a badass highlight.. i admit... made SO WELL. when it shows kerr when it says 'dirty needle' in referance in part im sure to his drug abuse... very good clip... mma has its place... wrestlers and other martial artists need a place to go, but ill like it a lot more when it takes a back seat again to boxing, if it ever does.
mma and ufc has got to be the most overhyped shite on the sporting circuit.....its ****ing boring....you have got to be a ****** to enjoy two men wrestling on the floor and smelling each others asses... ****ing disgusting man
hell no...a boxer only focuses on his fists as weapons therefore more potent punches...a bareknuckle punch from a boxer will pierce through a hollow mma average puncher in a streetfight....no one in the world has a harder punch than a bareknuckle boxer....
It sure is funny how racist you are and you probably don't even know it. MMA is an international sport with champs from every race. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
One time at university , this fight broke out between two guys over some girl. It was interesting at first until they went down to the ground and started growling and ****. they kept putting each other in head locks and everyone watching LITERALLY just started walking away
earlier MMA fights where great, you a see 600lbs sumo wresler gettin beat by a 120lbs taewondo fighter, a boxer with gloves who can't use his legs as a weapon gettin ass raped by a ninja..... it was like a circus. but today's mma is garbage and gay.
