You know, it would be kinda cool if Floyd looses. The welterweight division would be like someone shaking up a hornets nest. Pacquoio would become #1, Cotto #2, and Floyd would be forced to fight Cotto to re-establish himself, and probably fight Williams to unify and prove himself. Not all losses are bad!

20 years from now Floyd jr will not ever be ALI.

so stop trying to use ALI like he is floyd jr.

2 different personas, ALI had charm something floyd jr doesnt have, and ali was a jokester and people loved him.

keep saying they hated him you know jack ****! people love ali to this day he was an icon and stop making it out like floyd jr and ali are similar cause they aint.

floyd jr no charisma, stuttering fool who is arrogant and picks his fights for big money.

    nuff said.

I love it how you floyd fanatics keep bringing up hatton by addint top 10 p4p lol before you were saying he was a bum why should floyd fight him? then when the fight is made you change your tune to make it seem like he is a threat.

then when pacman gave mab a rematch, it was to shut him up cause mab was making excuses for so long...but oscar vs floyd jr 2 is a worthless fight only people who gain is floyd and oscar.

Floyd needs to fight someone that will be a real threat to him, and that's not DeLaHoya.

If Pacman, Hopkins, Calzaghe or JMM win their fights impressively, they all can have a claim to p4p #1 in PBF fights and beats DLH. The reason is simple, opposition. All four of those guys are fighting top 5 p4p fighters whereas PBF would be fighting a guy not even rated in the top 20 p4p.

Just like RJJ lost his p4p #1 ranking at times due to his opposition decreasing. PBF would lose his, regardless of how he beat DLH.

And if Hopkins, PacMan, Calzaghe or JMM fought and beat another tough opponent after their possible victories, then there would be no question that they would be p4p #1 at the end of the year.

    I agree with this

those people saying the only way floyd jr will lose his #1 spot is if he loses? wtf is that ****? thats not even remotely sensible.

current p4p lists are decided on recent opposition and how you win or who you fought.

you dont have to be undefeated.

if floyd jr only fights 1-2 times a year it better be against guys who are threat and a challenge so people will say that is a bad dude.

not some over the hill oscar or some blown up hatton.

How can PBF lose if his plan in 2008 is to fight one fight against the washed up fighter he already beaten?

Pac Plan is to take 3 titles in 3 weight Classes agaisnt 2 current top 10 P4P fighters. Pac will be P4P definitely if he wins all regardless of what pbf can do to DLH.

If Pac has a good 2008, then he is definitely P4P #1, not Floyd.

I think if they all win it will stay the same:
    1. PBF
    2. Calzaghe
    3. Pac
But if it goes like I think it will go, it will be:
    1. PBF
    2. Calzaghe
    3. Marquez

I think Pac will lose, and PBF and Calzaghe will win.

i'm the person thats arguing with you yet you keep talking about all pbf fans..stop putting everyone into that group...and you still have no argument to why he is p4p #3 instead of #1

I agree. If you have a fighter who doesnt put himself out there and one like Pac who is fighting top competition, the choice is clear.

For me, a win for Pac against Marquez puts him in the equation, a win over another big fighter later in the year clinches the deal. Mayweather simply isnt extending himself, and he has turned his back on his biggest challenge.

How should we be rewarding that kind of thing?
