2 of my favorite boxers as of right now fighting at 140. Who you got?

In a close fight, I'd say Miguel would get the decision thanks to some body shots that would put Maidana down but he'd get back up and continue.

I voted Maidana, ONLY because I think Cotto was drained a lot of times at 140, and if Maidana connected it may have well been the end of that. At any other stage in Cotto's career I'd take him, and I do think if think if the fight went 12 that Cotto would outbox him and win a clear decision. But if the odds were even I'd bet Maidana.

I think Maidana is weak to the body and Cotto is an excellent body puncher at 140.

A reason I made a note of that, yet, don't think he'd be done by it, it'll just help miguel in the score cards

I dont like Cotto @ 140 Maidana is much more comfortable there and would trouble miguel with his power and pressure, @ 147 Miguel probably stops him. I am also a maidana fan.

Only said 140 since Maidana hasn't fought at 147 and we won't know how that would be, seeing as how he might be even more slower, then shows that miguel would take it even more at 47, at 40, it's a nice match up

  7. 140 maidana would stop cotto , he was shaky at 140, maidanas relentlessness and power would get the better of cotto

If cotto has to go down to 140 he loses. His chin was not that good at that weight

Cotto almost got KTFO by journeymen Corley and Torres at 140. Maidana is leagues above them.

The Cotto of the Pinto and Bailey fights looked much sturdier than he did towards the end of his 140 pound days. I'd expect that version of Cotto to rearrange Maidana's face and crack his ribs, probably having to overcome a rough stretch or two.

true, I bet maidana would have to no problem making 147, just saying since he hasn't been there, we can't really say, but bet he'd still be a beast

  15. i wouldnt be so sure that maidana fills in at 147 nicely, hes a good sized 140lber and i think he should stay there. he has a good build big shoulders biceps legs etc but compare him to certain welterweights and he doesnt have the natural frame for this weight imo
