Does Pac keep his p4p number 1 status if he struggles with Marquez?

    Good question

But I am someone who uses these P4P listings only as a guidline and have always had Mayweather as number one as IMO he would beat Pac.

Also you have to consider that if they fought i am pretty sure Mayweather would be the favorite in the bookies (by a small amount), so how can Pac be listed a better fighter?

Anyway this is just my OPINION, so dont go ripping into me.

To answer your question though Floyd would\should be p4p number 1 if Pac strugles or looses.

But what i say is Forget what some list says, make your own mind up.

Regardless of If a computer totals up fighters results vs opponents to formulate the P4P listings, or if a group of people decide in a boardroom, at some stage a human came into the process for formualting how the list is created, so at the end of the day its merely opinion.

man come on :patsch Floyd schooled Marquez when Marquez was number 2 p4p and that still didn't make him number 1. Where was Cotto ranked when Manny fought him p4p?

The main reason Pacquiao is regarded as the no1 p4p fighter is due to Mayweather`s inactivity IMO.... both of these guys are currently on a different planet to the rest of the fighters in a p4p sense but Mayweather is a more talented fighter than Pacman, if both are equally active then Mayweather will be seen by the majority as numero uno.... & if they fight each other (as they should have by now, 2 yrs & counting :-() then Mayweather decisions him all day long & puts this boring ****in life-long debate to bed.

Its bull**** how floyd can rarely fight yet always be put back at 2 and therefore pac needs to keep winning in great fashion or he loses his ranking.
You think it would be this way if he was the active one and pac fought barely?
He needs to man up and beat pac if he wants to be p4p #1.

I wasn't too impressed by Floyd's win over Ortiz considering he knocked him out while he wasn't paying attention and IMO Ortiz made him look out of position quite often. We know JMM is an elite fighter, has the style advantage over Pac, gets motivated for Pac fights, and is used to the spotlight.

One more thing I will say on this ****... I hope every Pac fan that discredited the 12-0 masterclass Mayweather put on JMM by saying JMM is ineffective at WW will man up if Pac struggles vs Marquez & at least give Mayweather his credit for schooling a 2 years younger Marquez at the same weight.... somehow I can`t see this happening with Pac fans but we can always hope eh !

If Pac struggles with Marquez like he did in the first to fights, at this stage in his career, then he should definitely get bumped from the #1 p4p spot. It's a thin line between Floyd, Pac and that spot. Floyd has looked great in his last two outings, even after long layoffs. He still showed how good he is against fighters in notable positions. Pac on the other hand, if you compare his last two opponents, while considering there career status at the time when he fought them. You will see he clearly took the easier route between the two fighters.

There are so many idiots here. Pac needs to be defeated to take that spot away and Floyd doesn't even deserved the #2 spot since he was so inactive.

i think floyd is number 1 already

ortiz win was better than shane

and shane was better than margarito

i mostly have them interchange after each win

but is beating this version of JMM move him past Floyd KOing Ortiz

    Not sure

Don't even have him at my p4p #1, but I think THE RING will bump him down from the spot if he struggles with JMM

JMM is seen by the majority as a terrible welter

.. Some people want to put floyd to be number 1 again for beating Ortiz via CHEAP SHOT and they are DAMN proud of that shallow victory! :rofl

**** PAC if he wins via Cheap SHOT - msg from a pac fan

Congrats Floyd for beating Ortiz via Cheap SHOT - msg from a pbf fan

Difference between the fans of those boxers is written above.:deal
