    There have been some rumblings lately suggesting that particular series could potentially end up on TBS or TNT.

    This is a great move from HBO, what in the hell is Showtime going to do to counter.

    Great move by HBO.
    Hershman did some very good things for Showtime.

    Now it will be interesting to see who gets Hershman's old job.
    Steve Farhood looks like a fine candidate imo.
    Knows the business, has experience and integrety.

    If not him, then another "boxing guy", but there aren't too many of them around it seems, seeing HBO headhunted Hershman for their spot.

    Great move. Hopefully his first move is to rid of Kerry Davis, and the second to get rid of Al Heyman.

    He's a strong addition to HBO.

    As a boxing fan, I hope this doesn't de-rail the momentum Showtime has been building recently. Not only the Super Six, but also the bantamweight tourney and the Pac/Mosley PPV have taken place there.

    More outlets for boxing is a good thing.

    That is stunning news. I'm happy for HBO but very worried about Showtime. Not everyone can remain competitive on a tight budget.

    I wonder if Lou Dibella would be interested in returning to the executive side of things. Probably not, but Showtime has to be shocked by KH's departure.

    My guess is we'll see a bit more democracy in action for HBO matchmaking. That's definitely a good thing.

    Preach it brother. I could not agree more. Talented , fresh blood in The Mans seat. It will be exciting to see what he does with HBOs budget. Good day for our sport.

    Good hire by HBO, but what is Showtime going to do? Hershman did a great job at Showtime that I don't know if anybody else can do what he did with that tight of a budget.

    Now, that I think about it some more I don't know if this is such a great hire. Hershman may bring over MMA as well. He's a fan and oversaw Strikeforce, he may very well try and strike a deal with some MMA organization as well.
